On the board of directors for the year are Miss Mildred Heussner, Miss Florence Hahn and Mrs. Barbara McPike. The committee chairmen named at the meeting by Miss Hahn include Miss Dorothy Schroedcr, club growth; Mrs. Mildred Fogarty, education; Miss Willetta Strahan. finance; Miss Catherine Miller, health; Miss Laura Phillips, hospitality; Miss Juanita Cochran, music; Miss Margaret Griffith, Hazel Richardson, legislation; Miss Helen O'Brien, international relations; Miss Marguerite Kirchner, transportation; Miss Maxine McCleer, publications; Miss Patricia Barloon, program; Miss Mildred Heussner, public affairs and Dr Stella Pearson, picnic.

For the dinner at 6:30 o'clock, the tables were cleverly arranged with miniature models depicting the various modes oC transportation, and at each place was a folder with the printed program, representing the work the publications committee, Mrs. Theda Reynolds Truitt, as head of the transportation committee, and Miss Ruth Harlwig, chairman of the publications committee, were in charge of the arrangements. Lovely bouquets of roses were also used in the table appointments. Interesting and detailed reports of the state convention of the Business and Professional Women's clubs of Iowa which was held at Des Moinos recently were given by Miss Florence Hahn and Miss Dorothy Hahn. Miss Dorothy Hahn presented a scrap book of favors and souve- niers from the convention.

A musical program was Riven with a group of selections being offered by the Berean quartet, including Mrs. Harry Hahn, Mrs. William Van Ysseldyk, Mrs. George Mecrdink and Mrs. Gladys Heitz.

Miss Lillie Friederichson was the accompanist. The past president's pin, a gift of the club, was given to Miss Florence Hahn, retiring president, by Miss Mildred Heussner. There will be no business meetings during the summer but a picnic is planned for July. In August a picnic for the clubs of the sixth district will be held. Society Events Takes Over New Duties Miss Dorothy Hahj), j-Jctured here, took over her duties as president of the Muscatine BFW club at the organization meeting Wednesday.

Iowa Guests Are Honored at Party at Kranz Residence Mr Mrs. Henry Schmidt of Council Bluffs who are visiting here with Mr, Schmidt's sister. Mrs. George Kranz at 409 Parham street, were feted at a party Wednesday evening at the Kranz home noting the seventy- fifth birthday of Mr, Schmidt. Card games and other entertainment were enjoyed during the evening.

Refreshments were served. Guests included friends snd relatives of Mr. and Mrs. Schmidt CLEVE BRYANTS ARE HONORED AT PARTY Mr. and Mrs.

Cleve Bryant, who were recently married, were feted at a surprise party Wednesday evening at their home on Grandview avenue by members of the Pocahontas and friends. Maude Buck, Emil Moeller Wed Program, for Day Is Sckeduled The children's day program of Avenue Methodist church will'be. presented at 7:30 o'clock on Sunday evening at the church. Representatives of all departments of the Sunday school will have a on the program. Following the ceremony a wedding dinner was served at the home of the bridegroom's son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Moeller, with the immediate families as guests. Mr. and Mrs.

Moellor will reside in Wilton. FRANKLIN' HOME IS SETTING FOR TARTY A 'birthday party honoring the sixth birthday of June Franklin was given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Franklin, 707 West Seventh street, with 13 in attendance. Games were played and refreshments served with balloons given as favors.

Gifts were presented the honoree.
