League spokesman Matt Eres said the season is likely to begin in late March or early April.

Each team will play eight home and eight road games. What will ticket prices be? Barnstormer officials are now accepting renewals from last year's season ticket holders and new orders. Louis 8 30 Chicago at Phoenix After having an Arena Football League team here, can this league bt anywhere close to as good? Barnstormer officials Insist the team's skill level will be similar to the Iowa Arena League teams in 1995 and 1996. Six players, who played in the minor league last year, are on NFL rosters right now, including Jacksonville Jaguars kicker Jim Tarle. Jim Foster already owns the Quad City Steamwheelers. How can the Barnstormers compete against a team owned by the same guy? Multiple ownership of franchises is not uncommon among franchises of arenafootball2. For example, the owners of the Orlando Predators could own as many as three franchises.

Each team will operate with separate front office and coaching staffs. How big is the league and what teams will be in Iowa's division? Right now, 28 teams will play in 2001 regular season and possibly as many as 34. Iowa will play in a Central Division, likely made up of teams FOOTBALL children. Detroit 98. Wayne.

After all, he's been waiting for two years now to settle a score with his father, Art, the Barnstormers' new coach. "I owe him one for something he pulled a couple of years ago," the Quad City coach said.

"What he did to me was worse than any time he took my car keys away." Just as the Haeges had their rivalry renewed, Barnstormer officials announced the rebirth of the Des Moines franchise this time as a member of arenafootball2, the Arena League's minor league. In October, the Barnstormer partnership group sold the Des Moines Arena League franchise to computer software executive Charles Wang, who moved the team to Long Island. As part of the sale agreement, Foster retained the rights to the Iowa Barnstormers name and trademarks and uniform designs. Foster, who owns the Steam-wheelers, said he had wanted to place a franchise in Des Moines almost immediately from the time the Arena League team was sold. "We believe Des Moines is a good city for Arena football and that we have already built a great fan base who supports it," Foster said.

Foster also announced a new management structure by naming Jim Walden, former Iowa State football coach, as the team's new general manager, and Art Haege, as the new head coach. Haege had been the Arena League Barnstormers defensive coordinator FAR WEST SCORING LEADERS the league draw?
