McKay was named president of Marshalltown Instruments. He joined the firm in 1978 as marketing manager. Me was director of operations prior to this promotion. His wife Sherry McKay is director of staff development at Marshalltown Area Community Hospital. Gary L. Bradshaw was elected president and will continue as director of Futures Management Corp. of Iowa, Clear Lake. Donald G. Bullene was elected chairman and will continue as vice president. Kenneth A. Rigonl was named to the board. This management reorganization follows the death of Robert C. Bullene, the firm's founder, Jan. 14. Robert N. Blessing was named president and chief operating officer of Franchise Management Corp., which operates Arby's Roast Beef Restaurants in Des Moines, Pittsburgh, Pa., Milwaukee, Wis. and Madison, Wis. Three Arby's restaurants are under construction in Des Moines. The Army Post Road location is scheduled to open tomorrow. The others, on East 14th Street, Des Moines, and Merle Hay Road. Urbandale, are scheduled to open in March. John VandeSteeg of Jefferson, la., was elected president of Otto & Culver, Storm Lake, la. He succeeds Don Culver who is retiring. VandeSteeg was a partner in Culver Engineering prior to the merger with Otto Engineering. Other officers named were: Neal Kuehl, vice president; Richard Vrecland, secretary; and Howard Watts, treasurer. These new officers also were named to the board. Carlton O. Tronvold of Cedar Rapids was named president of Jiffy Lube of Iowa. He will continue as a real estate broker and president of Heritage Associates Corp.
