One victim, 16-year-old Carol King, was subjected to "an unnatural sex Lancaster County Attorney Elmer Scheele said. The latest trio of victims were C. Lauer Ward, 48 years old, prominent Lincoln business man, who was president of Capital Steel Works; his wife, Clara, about 46; and Lillian Fencel about 60, their housekeeper.

THE WARDS' 1956 Packard sedan was missing from their fashionable brick home and nearby officers found the abandoned car of an earlier victim, Robert Jensen, 17, of Bennet. This plus the manner of the slayings, convinced officers they were linked to the six earlier deaths. Police said members of the Ward household apparently were shot during the night. Detectives found Ward's body in a downstairs hall and the other two were upstairs in separate bedrooms. All were killed by shotgun blasts.

The investigation was started when Ward failed to appear at his office this morning. THE WARDS' home in a fashionable neighborhood, close by the elite Lincoln Country Club, is about miles south of the modest Bartlett home where the bloody trail began, with discovery of the first three victims. In addition to the nine deaths discovered in the last two days, police want to question Starkweather about an eleventh death, that of Robert C. Colvert, 21 years old, Lincoln filling station operator found shot in the head last Dec. 1.

Starkweather was known to have loitered about his station. THE SIX EARLIER victims of the killing spree were: Marion Bartlett, 57 years old, his wife Velda. 37: Betty Jran, nct quite 3. years old: Caril's, mother, their daughter, August Meyer, 70, Bennet bachelor farmer: Carol King, 16, and Robert Jensen, 17, Bennet High School sweethearts. William Fugate, Caril's father, said the girl's mother had objected to the girl's going with Charles Starkweather, and her stepfather, Bartlett, ordered Starkweather to "stay away" from the Bartlett home.

Bartlett, his wife and their daughter, were found slain Monday night. CARIL and her boy-friend had vanished from the home and it was while following their trail south of Lincoln that officers found the next three victims. Meyer, the bachelor farmer with whom Starkweather used to hunt squirrels, had been shot in the head with a .410 gauge shotgun and dragged from his house to an outbuilding, leaving a trail of blood behind.
