They are former Algonans Who moved away about eight years ago. -' 4 Mr and Mrs Dave Lefferi spent the- weekend at Spirit Lake with Mr and Mrs Earl Peterson, former Algpnafts, Mrs Emily Peter son Wolss,;;; Ellensburg, Wash, aunt of Mr Peterson and long time friend of Mrs Lcffcrt was also there. , David Hankins who has been in the service two years, came Saturday from Castle, Germany, having completed his enlistment. .He and his wife plan to locate here. She has been making her home with her parents, Mr and Mrs Ben Wibben. Mr, and Mrs Chris Wallukail have had their granddaughters, , Jane and Julie Wallukait, Fort Dodge, as guests while the parents, Mr and Mrs Duane Wallu- kait, vacationed at Brainerd, Minn. Mr and Mrs James Walker moved back from • Lynn Grove and Mr Walker is now retired. They were visited recently by Mr and Mrs Don Lane, Fairmont, Minnesota. «. Mr and Mrs William Walking, , Paul arid Barry have returned from a vacation of a week spent at the Dells, Wis.,'and Chicago. Since their return home they have been visited by Mrs Watkins' parents and sister, Mr. and Mrs A. E. Scaquist and Mrs 'Don Myers, Clarion. Mr and Mrs John Weydert went, to Waterloo Tuesday to spend a few days with Mr and Mrs Herbert Weydert, Kristy and Kathy. Mr and Mrs Gale Stockwell /ere visited last week by Mr ind Mrs William Tillman, Sioux 5ity. Mr and Mrs Max Miller have returned from a short vacation trip to the palisades at South Dakota, Fairmont and Pipestone, Minn., and Prescptt, Wis. • WESLEY By Mrs. Viola Studer Mrs Fred Thomas took boys of her Cub Scouts on an outing Wednesday, July 26, at Mclntosn Wpods and visited the Clear Lake fish hatchery and the Mason City Zoo and airport. Sister Mary Catherine and Sister • Mary Bertrand of Paola, Kansas spent July 18-25 with their sister and cousin, Mrs Lou Lickteig and family. On Sunday July 23 a family picnic was held at the Tom Lickteig farm home. Mr and Mrs Gayle Studer and family and Mr and Mrs Rich Reiling and family returned home Friday from a week's outing at Cass Lake, Minnesota, Mr and Mrs L. L. Lease spent Saturday in Ames with the Sam Alnes and Buell Tripps. Mr Alne escaped serious injuries that morning in « car-train crash near Randall on his way to work, He was taken to a hospital and released. Mr and Mrs Valgene Hansen and Mark of Cedar Falls were weekend guests in the parental, Charles Price home. Sunday dinner gudsts in tht Harold Weber home were Mrs Louise Seimer and Leona and the Clarence Seimers of Algona. Mr and Mrs Robert Chambers of Albert City were Sunday guests in the parental Charles Nygaard home. Mrs Theo. Potthoff of Carroll and Mrs Joe Friedman of Halbur carne Thursday for several days visit with their sister, Mrs Josie Gouge. The George Wellicks of Britt and the Walter Pfeffers of Wes* ley were Sunday evening dinner guests in the Parental R. C. Bauer home. Gordon and Merle Giddings went to Ft. Dodge Friday to attend funeral services for Mrs Elflora Seydel, 90, who died at Friendship Haven. She was .the mother of Mrs Glen Giddings of White Plains, N. Y. Mrs Bettie Wester reports that her granddaughter, Margo Jo Wester will marry Peter Donald Wetrich on August 1? in Waterloo. She is a daughter of Mr and Mrs K«rl Wester of Barren, Wisconsin.
