He accompanied Harlan Miller, Des MoineS Register-'colum- hist, here for the day ort hi? first, visit to his home'town ih a number > of years.' He is at present living in New York, While in Iowa he'was a guest at the Miller home in Des Moines. Both men visited the Upper Des/ Moines office while in Algona. Richard commented on noticeable changes in the business area,' and, added that he thought the city was about the right size for a comparatively peaceful existence. Both of his parents are buried here. His father was a banker , in earlier yedrs, and Richard himself is a graduate of Harvard. .• . i Harlan Miller doesn't seem tc change much, from year to year, and spent a busy afternoon nosing around the business area in general, while Ted Chrischiller and Wade Sullivan acted as informal guides. If Harlan doesn't come up with a few kindly comments aboui our fair city after his visit here he may be hung in effigy nexi time around. She had been ill with cancer for a year. , Olive Tibbetts was born May 16, 1877 at Elysian, Minn., to Oliver and Phoebe Tibbetts. She to Surt to 1900 ftnd resided there since that tirrte. The MooTes celebrated theit 60th * Wedding anniversary in 1953. . ,• '. Mrs. Tibbetts was preceded in death by her husband in 1964 arid seven brothers and sisters. Survivors include four sons, Herbert, Oklahoma City, Clayton, ,Iowa City, .Robert, Burt, Durwood, Cedar ftnplds, and one daughter, Pauline (Mrs. Leonard Schmidt), ^Sode. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. She was an honorary member of WSCS of the Burt Methodist church and active in church Work until hnr illness. Funeral services have been tentatively Set fot Fridfty (tomorrow) at 2 p.m. at the Burt Methodist church with Rev. Wm Bohi officiating.
