Former LuVerne Lady Graduates With Honors LuVerne — Mrs. Bertha Bowman Barton of Stockton, Calif.. received her B. A. degree from the University of the Pacific June 11. Mrs. Barton was acknowledged as standing first academically in her class. Mrs Barton is the wife of Charles Barton, son of Mrs. Kate Barton of LuVerne and the late Frank Barton. She is the mother of four children, Edna, married, James Eugene and Richard at home. Her Ufe ambition was a college degree. She is the daughter 01' the late Mr. and Mrs. W.
