Obituaries Purvis Mrs. Ernest Zich CHIPPEWA FALLS (Special) -Mrs. Kenneth Purvis, 72, of West Linden died urday night in St. Joseph's Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.

m. Wednesday in the Hogseth Pederson Funeral Home with the Rev. John Wreford of Trinity United Methodist. Church officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call at the chapel from 2 p.m. today. Besides her husband, she is survived by three daughters; Mrs. Clarence Licht, Claire, Mrs. Donald 'Nedreau, Lawton, Mrs.

A.P. Mi. chels, Green Bay; one son, Kenneth, Chippewa Falls; one sister, Mrs. W. C.

Johnson, Los Angeles, three. brothers, James Exeland, Richard and Walter Brown, both of Sand Point, Idaho; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was born July 4, 1897, in the Town of Ludington, Ea Claire County, and was married May 3, 1917, to Kenneth Purvis in Hannibal, Wis. The couple lived there for three years and then moved to Chip- pewa Falls. She was a member of the UCT Auxiliary and was a Gold Star mother.

Chester R. Johnson Chester R. Johnson, 47, Rt. 1, Altoona, died Sunday morning in Sacred Heart Hospital here after a short illness. An employe of the Chicago North Western Railway Company, he was a veteran 0 World War II, member of the American Legion, and of the Brotherhood of Railway Train-2 men.

Mr. Johnson was with the Northwestern Railroad for 19 years at the time of his death. He is survived by his widow, Mary; three daughters, Kim, Susan, Rebecca; three sons, Hunter, Stephen, Mark, all home; one sister, Mrs. Violet Reiser, Madison; and one brother, Harold, Merrillan. The Rev.

Norbert Wilger will officiate at funeral services at 10 a. m. Wednesday in the Golden Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery, Fall Creek. Friends may call at the neral home from 3 to 9 p.

today and Wednesday until services. There will be prayer vigil at the funeral home at 8 p. m. Tuesday. Karen Fladoes MENOMONIE (Special) Miss Karen Fladoes, 78, 610 Wilson Menomonie, died Sunday in a Grayling, hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday from Our Savior's Lutheran Church with Rev. Alfred Langhough officiating. Burial will be in Mamre Cemetery. Friends may call from this noon until Wednesday noon at the Goodrich Funeral Home and from Wednesday noon until the time of services at the church.

Miss Fladoes was born in the Town of Menomonie and was the last living member of her family which once included three brothers and two sisters. After receiving her degree at Stout in 1912, she taught for a while prior to enlisting in the armed forces as a dietitian during World War I. The high point of her illustrious career was her appointment as director. of the Home Economics Department of the Kelvinator Division of American Motors, a position she held until her retirement in 1956. After returning to Menomonie in 1956, she launched a second career of civic and political activities and in 1968 was named Stout State University's distinguished alumni award winner.

m. Wednesday. Survivors include nieces and nephews. The former Clara Lilliedale, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

Nels Lilliedale, was born Dec. 1876, in Illinois. During her early childhood the family moved to the Cumberland area. She was graduated from Teachelers College in Valparaiso, and received her degree from Superior State College, after which time she taught in both the Cumberland area and Ridgeland. She married Joseph Day Wheeler and the couple resided in this community for the past 35 years.

Her husban died Jan. 2, 1968. Bennie O. Lewis WHITEHALL (Special) Bennie 0. Lewis, 85, died Saturday at Tri-County Memorial Hospital here.

He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Lewis and was born in the Town of Hale, March 14, 1884. Mr. Lewis was married to Hattie Gassow, Feb.

9, 1909, and they farmed in the Town of Hale before moving to a small farm near Whitehall after their retirement. Survivors include four sons, Elmer and Ernest of Whitehall, Clarence of Pigeon Falls, and Maynard of Altoona; one daughter, Mrs. Sig art Sinstad of Osseo, ten grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m, today at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Pigeon Falls with the Rev. Gordon Trygstad officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the church from noon until time of the services. Rev. Bernard Meboe ELMWOOD (Special) The Rev. Bernard A.

J. Meboe, 90, died Sunday at Memorial Hospital in Menomonie. He was born Dec. 25, 1879 in Norway. He was a Methodist minister at St.

Croix Falls and he retired to Elmwood. He married Anna Kalwild in Brooklyn, N. Y. in 1908 and she died. He married Joyce Ger(rish at La Crosse, June 23, 1946.

He is survived by his widow, Joyce; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2. p. m. at the Elmwood United Methodist Church with the Rev.

Herbert Thompson, D.S. and the Rev. Bernard Setterlund, and the Rev. Calmer Overlein officiating. Burial will be in the Ono Cemetery.

Cedar Chippewa Falls, died suddenly in a hospital at Madison, July 5. The Warnacutts were en route to Ft. Lauderdale, where they planned to make their home. Mrs. Warnacutt was born in Carroll County, Dec.

23, 1906. She had resided in Chippewa Falls for 25 years, and was a member of the d-wa Falls Chapter Order ern Star. She is survived by her husband, Gilbert; one son, Charles David, Everett, and one brother, Lewis Rice, Logansport, Ind. Kahl was sworn in Monday for his first full fouryear term in office.
