Gloria Bronson. • 21 Burt Woman Gets 100 Cards, 84th Birthday Mrs. Olive Moore, Burt, observed her ., 84th birthday Tuesday of last week, and received more than 100 birthday cards in the mail, as well as many personal visits. Her sons, Clayton of Iowa City, and Robert of Burt, were on hand, but two other sons and a daughter could not come but sent messages. The elderly Burt woman was born in LeSueur county, Minn., May 16, 1877, and moved to Fenton township with her parents while she was a year old. Her husband died in 1954, after running a livery stable at Burt foi many years. Her advice on living to a ripe, old iage:'Help others and 1 forget yourself. Swea Man Fined A Swoa City man, Russell Holm, 26, was fined $100 in Martin county court at Fairmont, Minn. Friday after he entered a plea of guilty to a charge of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicating liquor. Holm was arrested Wednesday, May 17, at 7 p.m. at Fairmont. Melvin Burnett, 37, also of Swea City, was arrested with Holm and charged with drunkenness. He entered a guilty plea Thursday, May 25, 1961 Algona (la.) Upper Des and was fined $15. The men had posted bond after their arrest. Algona Tot In Good Shape; Run Over By Car An Algona tot, 'Ka'thy Jo Doocy, 2, escaped with bruises after being .run over by a car driven by her mother, Mrs. James Doocy, at 12:50 p.m. Saturday. Mrs. Doocy Was backing out of a driveway at 808 North Minnesota street. The door of the car came open and Kathy Jo fell out. The front wheel of the car passed over the little girl. She was taken to St. Ann hospital where she was reported in good condition. She remained several days for further observation. Policeman Peter Jorgenson investigated the mishap.
