After the meeting adjourned, Mrs. R. T. Cray and the room mothers served lime punch and home made cookies in the cafeteria. Both the girl and boy Elementary teams met stiff competition in their first matches and lost. The Girls' Senior High Team lost to the meet's first place winners in a hard fought game by a narrow margin. They won their second game with Sealy 18 to 16, thus becoming Third Place Winners. The following girls received ribbons: Jan Spehy Marylu Ray, Marjorie Huntsinger, Shirley Goynes, Beth Thompson, Sarah Hopkins, Patsy Bolton, Myra Swogetin- sky, Pauline Weinman, Carolyn Hoyt, Mary Ann Sloan, Fredda Harris, and Cleo Avera. The Girls' Junior High Team were also Third Place winners with the following girls receiving ribbons: Ruth Hummel, Barbara Roesner, Alice Matzke, Mary Tutwiler, Betty Lou Baker, Jimmie Rue Eason, Carole Griffen, Ellen Moebes, Jo Beth Camp, Dona Clayton, Peggy Bartlett, Terry Templeton, Rosemary Barnette, and Martha Schneider.
