A June wedding was planned. The bride-elect graduated from Radcliffe high school and Ottumwa Heights college at Ottumwa. She received her bachelor of education degree from Sacra* mento, Calif. She f o r m e r 1 y taught fifth grade at Butler school in Fort Dodge, ^and is now teacher of the special education class at. Lehigh. Mr Lickteig, a graduate ol St. Cecelia's High school, Algona^ served two years in the army. He is now engaged in. farming near Algona. (UDM Engraving) Sorority Holds Artists Ball "Artists Ball" was the theme of! the. Founders Day banquet of Beta Sigma Phi sorority held at the Algona Hotel Saturday evening. Mrs Lament Wellendorf was toastmistress, and Mrs Phil Diamond, Mrs Don Sherman, Mrs Harley Troutman, Jr. Opal Kern, Mrs Harold Erpelding and Mrs Wallace Hill spoke. Mrs Cletus Elbert and Mrs William Clcgg were chosen "Girl of the Year" and were presented witli .tiaras. Mrs Phil Diamond was given special recognition for her work as Kossuth County Cancer Education chairman. Receiving the Ritual of Jewels were Carol Feldman, Ardyce Smith, Virginia Swan and June Kroll in Zeta Xi chapter; Wanda Grotte, Myrna Teeter, Apha Psi chapter; and June Simpson, Xi Xi chapter. Receiving the Exemplar degree wre Maxinc Hill, Mary Faulstich, Nadine Stillman, Arlene Davis, June Nelson, Pat McGinnis, Jan Anderson, Ruth Thuente, Pat Metzen, Jean Haaso, Wilma Pickett, Shirley Schonck and Helen Sclilicvert, 65th Mr and Mrs D. W. Conrad ot Lowden recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. It was also Mr. Conrad's 93rd birthday. They had five children, have 1C grandchildren and 31 great- grandchildren.
