Tuesday in Hamilton's Funeral Home, with burial at Glendale Cemetery. Mrs.

Miller died Friday of a stroke in St. Mary's Hospital, Columbus, Neb. She had MRS. MILLER been ill three years. She had lived in Des Moines about 50 years, before moving to Columbus about a year ago.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Mildred New and Mrs. Norma Landwehr, both of Columbus; two sons, Donald Linn, Columbus, and Forrest Des Moines; three sisters, Mrs. Cora Horn, Burlington, Mrs. Zana Fox, and Mrs.

Bess Stansberry, both of Moulton; a brother, John O. Cupp, Central Point, 10 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Parker Closes Ink Plant in Wisconsin JANESVILLE, WIS. (P)- The Parker Pen Co. has announced it will close its ink plant at Menomonie, in mid-July because of increasing operational costs and a slackening in demand for liquid ink.

Section 9-L Uneven Hog Mart Trend For Week By Tom Clark (Market Editor) Terminal hog markets were mixed and the interior Iowa and southern Minnesota market was stronger last week. In the interior the closing top of $23.15 was equal to the high of earlier in the week and on May 22, but with those exceptions was the best price since August, 1954. Uneven Terminal markets ranged from 25 cents higher to 50 cents lower, with butchers generally around steady. Hog receipts in the holidayshortened week totaled 000 head, down 87,000 from the preceding week, but 000 more than a year ago.

Cattle markets were weak to 75 cents lower, generally around 25 to 50 cents off on slaughter steers and heifers. Stockers and feeders were 50 cents higher to as much as $1 lower at various points. Cattle tops were from $28.50 to $29.75, except at Chicago where the top was $33.50 for a new low top since February. Sheep markets were 50 cents higher to $1 lower, and tops on lambs ranged from $22.50 to $24. In Chicago wholesale pork prices advanced 50 cents to $3 a hundred resulting in some improvement in the recently unfavorable margin between the live market and product prices.

Grains Up Beef prices were steady 1 to 50 cents higher in the Chicago market. At the end of the week choice beef sold up to $48 a hundred and pork loins up to $57 a hundred. Grain markets were generally stronger, with dry weather a situation corrected in Iowa Saturday the principal bullish factor. For the week wheat futures in Chicago advanced to cents, corn was 2 to cents up, oats 2 to cents ahead, rye to cents up, soybeans to cents higher and lard up 7 to 17 cents a hundred. Iowa egg markets, reducing some early gains, closed 1 cent higher to 2 cents lower for the week.

Meanwhile, hens were unchanged to. 3 cents lower despite light marketings, and roosters were steady. Business Pace Improves Again New York Times News Service NEW YORK, N. Y. The New York Times index of business activity in the week ended May 24 rose to 181 from 180.6 in the preceding week.

Demand was spotted, however, and trading was uneven. The market was closed Friday in ance of Memorial Day. (AP) Suggested retail prices for Ford Motor Germanbuilt Taunus passenger cars will range from $2,016.50 for the 17-M standard two-door sedan to $2,371 for the Deluxe Combi-Wagon (station wagon). The prices, at east coast port of entry, include federal tax, ocean freight, handling charge and import duty. They do not include license fees or state or local taxes.

The newest import models will go on sale for the first time in the United States Monday. Ford already is marketing 14 English Ford line cars and light truck-vans in this country. Kiser to Judge Horse Show James J. Kiser of the animal husbandry department at Iowa State College will judge the fifth annual Iowa AllArabian Horse Show today at the state fairground. Halter-class judging will start at 9 a.

m. and performanceclass judging at 1:30 p. m. An added attraction will be a jumping horse exhibition by Michael Mathews. All horses in the show will be purebred or part-bred Arabians.

Bodeen Dies Here at 54 Lee D. (Leland) Bodeen, 54, of 625 Twentieth West Des Moines, died at his home early Saturday of a heart ailment. Services will be at 9:30 a. m. Monday in McLaren's Funeral Home in West Des Moines and again Tuesday in Moline, Ill.

Mr. Bodeen was born in Lynn Center, Ill. He moved to Des Moines four years ago from Iowa City. He was owner of Lineberry Heating and Air Conditioning Co. here.

Survivors are his wife, Harriett; daughter, Linda Lee Bodeen; sister, Mrs. Lydia Broman, Moline, two brothers, Joseph of Moline, and Emil of Joslyn, Ill. Thomas Ashby Is Dead at 84 ANNA BERGMAN IS DEAD AT 59 Mrs. Anna C.
