CHARGES BOLIO WITH ASSAULT By Thomas Huyck Jack K. Bolio, 26, of 1513 Des Moines was arrested Sunday and charged with assault with intent to do great bodily injury and assault and battery. Police said he allegedly tied a rope around the neck of a neighbor girl, tied the other end of the rope to his car, and threatened to drive off. Pleads Innocent Bolio pleaded innocent to both charges before Municipal Judge Harry B. Grund.

He was released on $1,300 bond for a hearing Aug. 10, Police said Mrs. Helen Cannon, 1513 Des Moines told them she came out of the house and found her daughter, Sherry Weeks, 10, lying on the ground with a rope tied around her neck, and the other end tied to the rear bumper of Bolio's car. Bolio was standing over the girl, she said. Mrs.

Cannon said Bolio struck her when she protested. She said she fought back with a broom and Bolio struck her several more times. Mrs. Cannon said during the scuffle her daughter managed to free herself. Upstairs Apartment Mrs.

Cannon said she knew of no reason for the attack on her daughter, Bolio lives in an upstairs apartment at 1513 Des Mrs. Cannon and her family live on the first floor. No such final payment shall be due until the Cr tractor has certified to the Board of Water Works Trustees that materials. labor, and services involved in the completed improvement have been paid for in accordance with the requirements set forth in the specifications. The successful bidder shall furnish performance bond in the amount equal to one hundred per cent of the contract price guaranteeing the faithful Board performance of the contract.
