The club is a unit of ithe Iowa Association of the Deaf. Mr PurceU is foreman at the Upper Des Moines. He gave a reponse, following a talk by,Verne L..Arhart, directdr of the Midland Linotype School, Charles City, and Mrs Purcell offered the Mascia' Club song as part of ithe program. Mr. Purcell is also a -trustee of ithe organization. .... Townsend Club Algpnt Townsend club mot Apr. 11 with Ila Bilsborough as hostess. Notice had been received of the death of one of the members Mrs. Mabel Thorsen'of Humboldt It was voted-to sponsor a benefit card party April 25th at the Chester Willey Home. It was voted to send a card of congratulations to C. B. Murtaugh. After the business session alii played various games with the prize going to Mrs. A. M. Anderson and the door prize to Robert Willey.
