The Setting Hen Card Club met Tuesday evening at the Charles Sohultz home with Mrs William Faulstich as co-hostess, Mrs Dick Russell won high and travel and Mrs James Schultz won low. Lorraine Butzke, daughter o Mr and Mrs Reuben Butzke o Whittemore, was among 45 stud ent nurses at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines to take part in the capping ceremonies Sunday. Mr and Mrs William Ostwald and Mr and Mrs Ralph Walker Sr., became grandparents for the first time on Friday, February. 17, when a son was born to Mr and Mrs Ralph Walker Jr.. of Laurens. This is their first child. Judy Grimes, daughter of Mr and Mrs Edward Grimes, entered the Palo Alto Memorial hospital in Emmetsburg, Thursday morning and underwent an emergency appendectomy operation. Mrs Bert Seely entered the Palo Alto Memorial hospital in Emmetsburg, Monday morning for observation and X rays. Word was received here that W. A. Rusch of Fort Dodge is a patient in the Lutheran hospital in Ft. Dodge. Mr Rusch was a former barber here, and is a brother of Mrs Adelia Meyer, Mrs Herman Zumach and Mrs Aurelia Leiningcr. A post nuptial shower was held Sunday afternoon in the Immanuel Lutheran church parlors in Lotts Creek, for Mrs Dick Potratz. Many from here attended. Mrs Potratz was the former Luella Lallicr of Algona, they live in LuVerne. Mr and Mrs Arthur Hoidenwith returned home from Albert Lea, Friday afternoon where they spent the week with their son- in-law and daughter Mr and Mrs Lloyd Walker. His parents were the late Joe Risius and Mrs. Joe Risius ,who resides at Buffalo Center. Andrew had 100 acres of Corn, 40 acres of Oats, 45 acres of beans and about 45 acres of pasture and hayland during the 1960 farm season. He also raises purebred Shorthorn cattle, about 25 calves each year, and Hampshire hogs, with 200 sent to market during an average year. His favorite job around the farm is raising Shorthorns. He and his family are members of the Ramsey Reform church. Mrs. Risius is the former Marie Mayland, daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Henry Mayland who farm north of TUonka. Mr. and Mrs. RUlus were married in 1943 at TUonka, Mrs. Risius is active in church circle work, They have five sons, including Gary, 17, a senior at Buffalo Center high school. Dale, 14, Wayne, 12, Kenneth, 8, and Lyle, 2. He also has five brothers, Klaus, George, Harm and frank. Buffalo Center, and John, Chicago.
