Xh mpioyoQt agency that wiii supply' i dlnance regarding civil service appointees which conflicts with the state law enacted in 1924, superseding It, will soon be removed, Charles A. Guth, civil service commission chairman, said Sunday. "There is no question that the council will be glad to repeal this invalid ordinance and such a request will be made at once," Guth said. At least three men have been removed from city departments during the one year probationary period called for in the ordinance since passage of the state law, ac cording to Guth.

These men had the right of ap peal within five days after re moval, by terms of the state law, and while it is now too late for such action, Mr. Guth believes recurrence of this may be avoided through action of the council. wm3i for LD Get new radio tubes today.
