She was born in STansinpf Tnpham Cnnntv TL April 22, 2012, after a second courageous, vLk hard fought battle with cancer. She was 68. DUl 11 JdllUdiy 6, iyjJ 111 Lud.ll- sing, Michigan son of the late I Howard and Emily (Brandel) Kane, passed away Monday, April 23, 2012 at age 76. He Michigan on MaY 31, 1923, the daughter of Clifford and Veva graduated from Resurrection High School in 1953.

I On June 29, 1957 Frederick married Marjone L. (Hause) Kane and they enjoyed 54 12 years of marriage until her death on March 27, 2012. He served in the U.S. Army at Fort Lewis, Washing yt Mary Ellen was born April 2, 1944 to the late James and Pearl Steiger, in Detroit, MI. She graduated from St.

Ambrose High School in 1961, located in Detroit, and then completed St. Lawrence Nursing School in 1964 where she obtained her Registered Nurse license. She went on to earn a Bachelor Degree in 1994. Mary Ellen married her soul mate, Richard F. McCloy Sr.

on November 28, 1964 and went on to build a marriage and life filled with love and blessings. Mary Ellen was a Registered Nurse for over 35 years, working in the Emergency Room at St. Lawrence and then Lansing General Hospital. She completed her career with Quality Assurance. MaryEllen was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary within the Knights of Columbus.

She was loving, courageous, genuine, loyal, giving, and loved by all who had the pleasure of meeting her and was adored and cherished by her family. MaryEllen was a strong advocate of all children and passionate about expressing her faith and beliefs. Among other things, MaryEllen took joy in playing pull tabs while spending time with her family and friends. Mary Ellen is survived by her husband, Richard her children: Richard Jr. (Elizabeth), James (Kymberly), Jon (Jacqui), Kelli (Andrew), David (Moriah); 7 grandchildren: Dustin, Katelynn, Jace, Michaela, Jordan, Aidyn and Conner; her sisters: Sharon (Jerry) Phillips and Kris (Ken) Lyles.

Predeceased by her daughter, Sharon and her brother, James Steiger. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 3:00 p.m. at St. Gerard Catholic Church with Rev. Fr.

John Klein as celebrant. Visitation is Tuesday 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday 2-4 6-8 p.m. at the Palmer Bush Jensen Family Funeral Homes, Delta Chapel, 6020 W. Saginaw, where the Rosary will be prayed Wednesday at 7:30 p.m..

Survivors include 4 beautiful children, James (Susan Kim) Kane of Lansing, Thomas (Stacy) Kane of Williamston, Tracey (Frank, III) Frati of Hot Springs Village, and Suzzanne (Rick Conner) Kane of Lansing; 7 grandchildren, Frankie IV, Ian, Eric, Harley, Emma, Allison, and Ashleigh; loving sister, Jacqueline (Merle) Barnhart of Lansing; brother-in-law, Russell (Sherri) Hause of Grand Haven; sisters-in-law, Betty (Kenneth) Gearhart of Waverly, IL, and Grace (Harry) Thompson of Charlotte; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews as well as his dog, Daisy Mae. Arietta was predeceased by both her biological parents and adoptive parents; spouse, Adin Kenneth Shank; and son, Larry Lee Shank. Surviving are sons, Art (Maureen Shank, and Adin R. (Jean) Shank; daughter, Shelia (Jerry) Parsons; 11 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.

Arietta was a member of Valley Farms Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at Valley farms Baptist Church, 1141 E. State Lansing, MI. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Ray Adams; and parents, Valdie and Laura Reynolds. Ardis was a wonderful mother of Barbara (Robert) Meyers Jerry (Susan) Adams Cindy (Dale) Kropf, Randy (Julie) Adams Sr.

and Reyna Adams. Ardis is also survived by her grandchildren, Jerry (Deborah) Adams Brian Adams, Aaron (Jody) Adams, Heather (Tim) VanTimmeren, Robert Meyers Jennifer Adams, Bo Adams, Randy Adams Kyle Kropf, Mattie Kropf; great grandchildren, Jerry (Erin) Adams III, Shade Adams, Anastacia Adams, Zachary Menter, Colton Menter, Gabrielle Menter, Garrett Meyers Bishop; great-great grandchild Riley Adams; sister, Audry Reynolds; brothers-in-law Claude Barber and Clayton Cook Sr. Ardis worked alongside her husband, Jack managing the Lowell Roller Skating Rink for 18 years. She enjoyed working as a paraprofessional in Marge Kropf first grade classroom at Bushnell School. Ardis' life was her family.

She loved listening to "The Adams Family" sing and perform. She was an avid card player and well known as "the card She had a green thumb and spent every moment she could gardening. She enjoyed living at Murray Lake for the past 35 years. Ardis was fortunate to have Denise Kropf as a special lakeside friend as well as many other wonderful neighbors and friends who assisted her in any way they could.
