Evers, and Gregory Kinsman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Kinsman, all of Algona, were married Friday evening, Feb. 16, at 7 p. m. in St. Cecelia's church with Father James Bruch officiating. The bride was attended by Virginia Sifert, maid of honor, and a sister, Barbara Evers, was bridesmaid. Jerry Hentges was best man and Dan Wehrspan was groomsman. The bride was given away be her brother, Bob Evers. Ushers were Mark Kinsman and Jim Hill. Ann Hamilton was at the organ and accompanied Kathi Kinsman who sang. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the V.F.W. hall where punch was served by Christine Eckhart and JoAnne Kenne. Waitresses were Karen Peterson and LuAnn Holt and the cake was cut by Florence Phillips and Myrtle Rutledge. Kathi Kinsman had the guest book and gifts were opened by Edith Ruark, Wendi Gardner and Janice Kinsman. Following a brief trip, the newlyweds are back in Algona and staying temporarily at the Kinsman home. Gregory, who has been enrolled in junior college at Emmetsburg, has enlisted in the Navy and is awaiting his call to report for training. Qualification requirements include four years of specialized and progressively responsible experience in manpower development, or closely related fields. Sergeant Cornwell, a Strategic Air Command jet engine mechanic, supports B^52 Stratofortress aircrews who fly almost daily bombing missions against Viet Cong targets in Vietnam. Harson of Lone Rock, Iowa. - o- PENSACOLA, FLA. Feb. 14- Marine Reserve Second Lieutenant William P. Higgins, son of Mrs. Dorothy F. Higgins, Algona, has reported for training as a Naval aviator at the Marine Avia- tion Detachment, Pensacola, Fla. For more than a half century, Pensacola has been the hub of the vast Naval Air Training Command, where every Navy and Marine Corps pilot starts on his way toward earning the aviator's "Wings of Gold." - 0" USS DEWEY, AT SEA, Feb. 15- Machinist Mate Third Class Ivan G. Burtis, USN, son of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil B. Burtis, Algona, participated in the rescue of four helicopter crewmen while serving aboard the guided missile frigate USS Dewey. The search and rescue helicopter had been on a routine flight when it crashed into the Gulf of Tonkin 40 miles off the coast of North Vietnam. By a twist of fate the crash turned the tables on the helicopter crewmen, who now were the rescued instead of the rescuers. Best Budget There is no such thing as a model budget.
