Dec. 2, 1900 Obituaries Mrs. Donald Bailey Mrs. Donald (Elleen Balley, 43, of 1015 11th st. NW, New Philadelphia, died Sunday night In Union Hospital following 2-week illness.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late James and Rachel McCready Smail of Dover. Surviving are her husband; a son, William of New Philadelphia; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Rose Ann) Smith of al City; 3 brothers, Edward and Eugene Smail of Buffalo, N.Y., and Earl of Manor, 2 sisters, Mrs. Wade (Ethel) Kutcher of Uhrichsville and Mrs. Carl (Edith) Reardon of New Cumberland; 6 grandchildren, and several step-brothers and step-sisters.

A sister preceded her in death. Services will be Wednesday at 1:30 in Kaserman-Naylor Funer. al Home with Rev. Larry Anslow officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Burial Park.

Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. James E. Pickering James E. Pickering, 90, a former resident of Dover, died Sunday morning in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Dewey (Grace) Notter, of 172 Wellington Upper Darby, after a long illness.

He was born in Parkersburg, W. a son of the late Harry and Frances Pickering, and was retired employe of the Goodrich Tire and Rubber Co. of Akron. He was a member of the St: Agnes Catholic Church of Upper Darby and a life member. of the Dover Eagles and Moose lodges.

He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Rose Nolty, 5 brothers and 6 sisters. His daughter is his only survivor. Requiem high mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Dover with Pr.

Pius Kaelin officlating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The Rosary is to be recited at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Eagles' Memorial Serv. Ices will be at 8.

Sidney I. Riffer WILMOT Mrs. Sidney Ira Riffer, 91, widow of Sam 0. Rif. fer, died Sunday in her home on E.

Main after a brief illness. Before her husband's death in 1968, the couple observed their Tand wedding anniversary. Mrs. Ritter's birthday was Dec. 23 and their wedding anniversary was Christmas Day.

Born at Brick Church, she was a daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Parks Gourley. She spent most of her life in this community and was a member of the Wilmot United Methodist Church. Surviving are sons, James tonight from 7 to 9 in the funer-1 al home. Born in Loudon Township, Carroll County, he was a son of the late George W. and Hattie Belle Slates Miller.

He retired In 1965 as a watchman for the Carrollton Mig. Co. Surviving are his widow, the former Neille Kohler, whom he married March 25, 1916; 3 sons, George of RD 1, Amsterdam, and Carl and Charles of RD 3, here; a daughter, Mrs. Wilbur (Doris) Johnson of Scio; 8 brother, John of Kilgore; a sister, Mrs. Veda Taggart of Kilgore; and 10 Three brothers preceded him In death.

Born in Holmes County, he was a member of Holmesville Church of Christ, a retired farmer and former custodian at Wooster High School. Doty resided in the home of Mrs.

Beaulah McElroy for many years. Surviving are 5 sons, Thomas of Wooster, David of Coshocton, Wilmer of Akron and Austin and Robert of California; 2 daughters, Mrs. Kurt (Elsie) Tipton of Florida and Mrs. Charles (Doris) Tipton of California; 24 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ketura a Bilderback Doty, brothers and 5 sisters.

Ross Perot's fer to send Christmas dinners to North Vietnamese children orphaned by the war.

A communique sald Perot had backed the Nixon administration and had given $1 million last November for a propaganda campaign calling Americans to support President Nixon. Hanol refused to receive the gifts. years and Hoffman May Resume Trial Testimony Today CHICAGO (UPI) Yippie leader Abbie Hoffman WAS expected to resume his testimony today, in the "Chicago Seven" conspiracy trial.

Hoffman was hospitalized last Wednesday with what his doctor said was pneumonia. A doctor appointed by the court and approved by the prosecution Friday confirmed that Hoffman was ill and the trial was recessed for the weekend. Chicago Mayor Richard J.
