Army Nursing Scholarships Available to Area Students "Scholarships amounting to more than $7,800 over a two- year period are now available to qualified nursing students," according to an announcement today by Sergeant Holland M. Schaefef, Army recruiter for the Eau Claire area. This program, available to students who have completed at least two of their nursing education, provides a monthly allowance of $280 to $490, free medical care, and other benefits. For students preparing for their three-year RN diploma, the program provides up to 12 months of financial assistance. Up to 24 months of assistance (which includes tuition) is available for students earning their B.S.

degree in nursing. And for the graduate nurse earning her B.S. or M.S. degree in nursing, assistance is available for the 1 a 24 months of study.
