ACTION UVTA.H.S. By JUAN Mr. Nettleton's sophomore biology classes had a wonderful Christmas quiz last week as test sheets were in a bright green and red but that wasn't all that had to do with Christmas, was it sophs? - o - Well, we've heard of too short of skirts before, but how about boys' pants ? Yes, Dave Dettman has a pretty short pair of pants that he wore last week. But Dave wasn't the only one I - o - And speaking of clothes What's the regulation for wearing suspenders? -fl- it seems that A.H.S. has had quite a few people in the hospital lately! First Karen Peterson is admitted for falling out of a car, then Brad Farnham has an appendicitis attack, and third Max Laird has pneumonia. Who's jinxing A.H.S.? - o Underclassmen as well as faculty received their individual pictures last Tuesday. It seems everyone's turned out nicely. Many reprints will be ordered so students will be exchanging photos for at least a few more weeks. - o - A spectacular vocal concert was presented last Tuesday night lor the public. Congratulations go out to Mr. George and his gang for putting everyone in the good old Christmas spirit. . . . an almost perfect attendance was shown in the choir that night, also. - o - A few Christmas parties were held last week by various organizations. A real dandy was the F.B.L.A. party! Many gifts were exchanged among members from chocolate goodies to squirmy, wormy objects. - o A new sight has taken place in the A.H.S. gym! Our regular bulldog which was placed on one of the walls years ago, was removed and a new doggie was put up along with a few words 'We're proud of our boys.' Many questions were asked on who put the posters up at that daring height! Well Mr. and Mrs. Sowers were in charge of the job but John Hedlund climbed the scaffolds. Good job John! - o The Junior High has been warned of shooting rubber bands In class, and girls skirts too short! That younger generation! What will they do next? - o - Tickets are now on sale for the annual Sno-Ball Dance which will be held December 23. $1.00 a person if we buy them now but other wise $1.25 at the door. The "Leaves of Grass" must be a pretty groovy group! - o - Students are anxiously awaiting the school dismissal this week for a short Xmas vacation. To start things out with a "bang," a talent show will be held. The "Sounds" will be appearing, which should send groovers wild. Another AHS favorite we hope, will be Miss Sharon Von Bank. All in all it should be a gay time! - o - Dancing lessons are being taught to some of the girls' gym classes these past days. Many girls have talent, and others don't. Julie Chrischilles had a bad fall on one of the moves but came out okay and is still performing. - o Well, one more item before closing. A basketball Injury laid Dean Lowman (star J.V. player) up for a few weeks and Dean finally got his cast off his ankle. Now he'll be seeing some action. Good luck Dean!
