The bride and groom are both graduates of Algona High School. The bride is an operator for Northwestern Bell Telephone Co. and the groom is a parts salesman for the Sieg Co. here. Following a wedding trip to Minneapolis, the newlyweds are making their home here. (Glenn's Studio Photo) Visitors Leave After Visit At Whittemore WHITTEMORE - Mr. and Mrs. Keith Ritchie and daughter Kelly- Jean left for their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho last week after visiting relatives here and in Minnesota. They arrived at Rochester, Minn, by plane Oct. 30. Mr. Ritchie, who is attending Naval Training School at Idaho Falls, was on a 14-day leave and arrived at the Arthur Heidenwith , Dec. 19, 1967 Algona (la.) Upper D«i Mdines-3 the Bauer home last week Monday evening. The occasion was her birthday. Present were Mrs. Bauer, Mrs. Braatz, Mrs. Bertha Uhlenhake, Mrs. Marie Schmeling, Mrs. Arthur Heidenwith, Mrs. Dorothy Rosendahl, Mrs. Herman Volgt and Mrs. Marguerite Heinrich. Cards were the entertainment at two tables with Dorothy Rosendahl winning high and Marie Schmeling, low. A luncheon was served following the card games. Mr. and Mrs. Simon Weber arrived home Dec. 8 from Rochester, Minn, where he had been a patient in the Methodist hospital there for the past six weeks. home last week Wednesday to take his family home. Mrs. Ritchie is the former Kay Rosendahl, and daughter of Mrs. Dorothy Rosendahl of Whittemore. - o Sunday dinner guests at the Arthur Heidenwith home were Mr. and Mrs. Ritchie and daughter of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Sebers and family, Rochester, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Walker and Helen, Albert Lea, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Ellsworth Heidenwith, Estherville. The latter were evening callers. Mrs. Ralph Bauer pleasantly surprised Mrs. Olga Braatz at VaLora May Kueck, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Kueck, Algona, and Richard A. Feaster, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Feaster, Algona, were united in marriage in the Presbyterian Church here at 4 p. m. Dec. 3 with Rev. Walter Morz officiating at the double ring ceremony. The bride was escorted to the altar by her father and was attired in a sheath gown of white peau de sole, with an empire waist and detachable peau de sole train with long tapered lace sleeves. Her elbow-length silk net veil was topped by a headpiece of pearls and illusion leaves to give a rose effect and she wore a pearl necklace and earrings and carried a dozen yellow roses. Maid of honor was Judy Wolter, Joanne Bates, cousin of the bride, was bridesmaid, John Reid served as best man, Bill Sigs- ALGONA bee, brother-in-law of the groom was groomsman, Jim Sires and Scott Miller were ushers .and Mrs. Richard Mawdsley was organist and Irwin Van Haaften, soloist. A reception was held at 4:30 p. m. in the church parlors for 150 guests, with Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Jones hosts. Mary Devine was in charge of the guest book, Mrs. Everett Mittag and Mrs. Harley Knutson cut the cake, Mrs. Bill Sigsbee poured punch, Mrs. Lynn Kueck and Mrs. Duane and catch something funny!
