Lakota Splits BB Contests With Thompson In a pair of high-scoring basketball games, the Lakota girls defeated the Thompson girls 7573 while the Thompson boys downed Lakota 78-72 in Friday night State Line Conference basketball action. Glencia Hertzke connected for 41 points to pace the Lakota offense. Joyce Leonard added 29. Thompson outscored Lakota 25-7 in the final quarter to win the boys contest. Lakota led at the half, 44-31. John Harlson meshed 36points to lead Thompson. High for Lakota was Terry Krominga with 28 points. Mr. and Mrs. Connie Kunkel took their daughter, Theresa, 1-year-old, to Iowa City Tuesday for a medical check-up.
