2011 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. Daughter of the POUGHKEEPSIE Leonard E. Morano, 83 of Poughkeepsie passed away peacefully at ho-meon Saturday August 13,2011. LAGRANGEVILLE Michael Kurt Luhrs. 48, of LaGrangeville, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2011 with I FALLS Thomas A.

Guerriero, 78, a Town of Wappinger resident for almost late Reverend Walter E. Hoffman and Elizabeth Briscoe, she was born on December 24, 1925 in Suffern, NY. Betsy studied at Rockland Born in Poughkeepsie on March 25, 1928 he was the son of Vincent A. Ethel A. Burns Morano, Sr.

He was a 1946 Graduate of Roosevelt 50 years, formerly of Brooklyn, died suddenly unexpectedly on Friday, August 12, 2011. Bom in Patterson, NJ, on his family at his bedside at his home after a long illness with Crohn's Disease and cancer. He was born May 30. 1963 in Jersey City, NJ. the and Orange Community Colleges as well as SUNY New Paltz where she earned her LPN.

She was an ad Sylvia Dzitzer HOPEWELL JUNCTION -Sylvia (Nana) Dzitzer, 89, a 41 year Hopewell Junction resident, died peacefullyat Vassar Brothers Medical Center, surrounded by her family, on Saturday August 3, 2011. She was born on November 23, 1921, in the Bronx, to Lillian Rose Sherman Putter-man and Morris Putterman. She was raised in the Bronx and attended DeWitt Clinton High School. On December 21,1941 she married the love of her life, Nat Dzitzer. They celebrated 65 joyous years of marriage.

Nat Dzitzer passed away onJanuary 3, 2007. Mrs. Dzitzer was a member of Temple Beth-El in Poughkeepsie for over 50 years. She is survived by her daughter, Ruth Keller and husband Lawrence Keller, Staatsburg and her son. Dr.

Michael Dzitzer and wife Vicki Dzitzer, Somers Point, N.J. In addistion to her children, Sylvia is survived by her beloved granddaughter Alison Hildwein and husband John Hildwein of Hyde Park High School. Lenny married the love if bis life. Anna Marie D'Agostino, on October 2,1949 in December 18, 1932. he as the son of the late Fred and Nellie Dougal Guerriero.

Thomas was a Veteran son of Gunther H. and Helga W. Luhrs. His family moved to Fishkill in 1963 and to Hopewell Junction in 1966. Saul, Elizabeth Betsy of Poughkeepsie, NY died on 07312011. Arrangements under the direction of the Timo St. Augustine's Church in Highland, N.Y. She survives at home. He is a member of St.

Martin de Porres Church. He was plant manger at Hamilton Reproductions for 6 years. Prior to that he was the Manager of the Litho Plating Department of Western Printing in Poughkeepsie. He worked at Western Printing for 39 years. For over 63 years he was a member of B.P.O.E.

275. While there he became a Life of the Korean Conflict, having served in the U.S. Air Force. In 1991. after more than 30 years of service, he retired from I BM, East Fishkill, as an accountant.

He was a member of the Mission Church in Holmes. An avid NY Giants fan, he enjoyed spending Sundays with his family watching football. On August 31, 1957, Thomas married Gloria Delesanti at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Brooklyn. Mrs. Guerriero survives at home.

Michael is survived by his parents and by his sister, Christine M. Gill and her husband, Shane V. and their son, Corey Michael. Also surviving is his sister-in-law, Bonnie J. Luhrs and her children, Steven G.

and his wife, Jennifer, Brian girlfriend Jaime Leman, and Mitchell J. Luhrs. He was predeceased by his brother, Joachim Gunther, who died September 4, 2009. He is also survived by his finace' Joanne He is also survived by two junct faculty member at Dutchess Community College teaching in the EMT program. Much of Betsy's life was spent giving back to the community by graciously donating her time to so many organizations, including the American Red Cross and the American Heart Association.

She was a past president of the PTA for the Hyde Park Elementary School, Haviland Junior High School and Roosevelt Senior High School. Betsy was not only Troop Leader to the Girl Scouts, but also served as a Den Mother to the Boy Scouts. Betsy's smiling face could be seen in the Emergency Rooms at Vassar Brother's Medical Center and St. Francis Hospital, as she volunteered for both local hospitals. The fire department was an integral part of Betsy's life.

She began her fire department career with the Hyde Park Fire Department where she responded as an EMT. Later on, Betsy joined Arlington Fire District's Engine Company 1 where she was a life member. Betsy was the first female EMT and firefighter to volunteer with Arlington Fire District. Throughout her career as a volunteer EMT and Firefighter, she held various positions with the engine company including EMS Lieutenant, treasurer, secretary, vice president and president. Betsy's had an amazing faith in god and her church.

She was a faithful parishioner and volunteer at St. James' Episcopal Church in Hyde Park. She was a vestry member of the church, she assisted in the church officer, she taught sun-day school, served on the alter guild and was mistress of the Alcolytes. Betsy is survived by her sister Lucile D. Edwards of Tuxedo Park, NY; her niece Elizabeth Hoffman 'Voss and her husband Joel and their children Austin and Danielle of Clearwater, FL; her nephew Stephen E.

Hoffman of Clearwater, FL; her niece Kathryn and grandsons, Jason Keller Of Clifton Park, NY and Wesley Dzitzer of Somers Point, NJ. She is also survived by Brother, Mac Putterman, Pompono Bech, florida, sisters, Harriet Putterman, NYC and Renee Greenfield, Walnut Creek, California and several nieces and nephews. Sylvia was predeceased by her parents and her sister, Anne Chen. Sylvia worked as a young woman in her father's dry cleaning and tailor shop and then in many dress houses in NYC where she developed a love for fine clothing, fashion and style. She held great pride in her status as a real Bronx girl working in the big city.

Not a day went by that she did'nt buy something at Macy's; even if just a little handkerchief or catch the next movie in the theater. Sylvia spent the middle part of her life as a homemaker, then later becoming an office manager at Big Scott's department store in Wappingers Falls and then office manager for several dental practices in the local area. Member, was Past Treasurer, past Trustee, and former Co-Chair of the D.A.R.E. Program with his son. He loved golf and bowling, played baseball for many years and enjoyed traveling.

As a veteran of the U.S. Army, he served in the Army of the Occupation of Japan following WW. II. Lenny was a loving husband and father who cherished his grandchildren. Survivors include his Daughter and her husband: Patricia Samuel Costanzo of Lagrange, NY; Sons: Lenny E.

Morano, Jr. of Hyde Park, NY; Gary Morano and his wife Becki of Poughkeepsie and Kevin Margaret Morano of LaGrange, NY. A brother Francis J. Morano of Poughkeepsie. Grandchildren include: Nicholas Anthony Costanzo and Gregory Jac daughters.

Donna Holveck her husband Joseph of Gardiner and Elaine Guerriero of Wappingers Falls; his granddaughter, Micayla Holveck of Gardiner; his brothers, Fred Guerriero his wife Evelyn of Florida and Edward Guerriero his wife Connie of North Carolina; also many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday at the Mission Church, 4101 Route 52, Holmes, followed by a funeral service beginning at 8 p.m. Interment will be at 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday at St.

Denis Cemetery with Military Honors. Michael was confirmed at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Fishkill and attended the Hopewell Reformed Church. Michael graduated from John Jay High School in 1981 with high honors; played the clarinet. Pop Warner Football and played on the John Jay Golf Team. Michael attended Clarkson College of Technology in Potsdam, NY until he volunteered to join the United States Marine Corps in 1983. He served his country for five years stationed at the United States Marine Corps Headquarters, 4th Marine Division, New Orleans, LA until 1989 at which time he received a Honorable Medical Discharge as a Sergeant and a letter of appreciation from his Commanding General.

He also graduated from the North Carolina State University with a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering, an A.S. degree in Science from the Del-Gardo Community College in New Orleans and a Diploma of Construction Drafting from the Defense Mapping School at Fort Bel-voir, VA. Michael worked for the US Patent Trademark Office in Arlington, VA as a Patent Examiner. He also worked at the NC State University for Professor Michael R.

He was born October 21, 1937 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY to the late William Michael Crusie and Mary Elizabeth Seeley. He graduated from Poughkeepsie High School and resided in Poughkeepsie for 53 years. Upon graduation he joined the United States Air Force. He owned and operated Crusie And Son Moving Company in Poughkeepsie until his retirement in 2002. Mr.

Crusie was an avid outdoors-man and loved to travel. Nevada and Spokane, WA were among his favorite stops. He was known as the Traveling Grandpa. He is survived by two sons, Phillip Crusie of Marlboro, NY, Phillip Tillou of North Carolina, two daughters, Kim Granger of Kingston, NY, Jackie Jones of Ruby, NY, eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Jensen PLEASANT VALLEY.NY -Kirk M. Jensen, 48, of Pleasant Valley died Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at his residence. Born on November 12, 1962 in Tarrytown, NY, he was the son of Norman and Patricia Dean Jensen. He grew up in Croton-on-Hudson and Ossining and obtained a Registered Nurse Degree and worked for a period of time at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York. Kirk lived in several towns before settling in Pleasant Valley, where he felt at home, at ease and made many friends.

He was kind, gentle and had a huge heart. He will be missed by everyone. Kirk is survived by his brother Chris Jensen and his wife Darlene of Hyde Park, his sisters, Anna Johnson and her husband Phil of Poughkeepsie, Colleen Ajram and her husband Gus of Palm and Pamela Jensen of Peekskill; and many nieces nephews and cousins.
