She loved the Pacers and was a wonderful cook. Todd Casey Birch 24, passed away Thursday morning resulting in the loss of a great friend to many, one of the best brothers, and a wonderful son to parents, who could not have been prouder of him. Todd graduated from Valparaiso High School in 1998 an active member Student Council and member of the golf team. Todd will forever be missed. He will continue to be loved by those who knew him.

The foursome will always be one short, holiday dinners and family gatherings one shy. We love and miss you Todd. Gertrude was a details clerk at Richard L. Roudebush V.A. Medical Center for 15 years, retiring in 1987. She was a member of Frank T. Strayer VFW Post 1587 Auxiliary, Brookside Chapter OES and the American Sewing Guild.

A homemaker since her marriage in 1951, she was born in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin and moved to Indianapolis with her family in 1963. Very active in her parish church of St. Pius Mrs.

28, 1936. Mrs. Dempsey was self-employed as a tax preparer and bookkeeper for 21 years. She was a member of West Group Ladies Symphony Auxiliary, active member at the Charity Tabernacle for 40 years. She loved to travel and loved her grandchildren.

April 18 at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. Burial: Holy Cross Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY. Donald Lee Drennan 61, of Danville, passed away April 16, 2004. Born May 30, 1942 in Danville, Mr. Drennan was a highway maintenance worker for State of Indiana for 21 years.

He was formerly employed with Electric Steel Casting for 19 years. Mr. Drennan served in the Indiana National Guard. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 20 in the Westside Church of the Nazarene, of which he was a member.

Burial 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Danville South Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 19, 2004 in Baker Funeral Home, Danville. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Tom and James Franklin Drennan and a sister, Doris Watson.

Dr. Jerome Lee Friedman Born May 31, 1935 in Gary, Indiana, a graduate of Valparaiso University and Indiana University School of Dentistry. He was a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, a Member of the American Dental Association and Indiana District Dental Society, Life Member of the Optimist Club of Avon. Following, honorary discharge from the United States Army, was the first dentist to practice in the town of Avon, and, until recently, practiced in Brownsburg.

Dr. Friedman was a Board Member for the construction of both the Avon Public Library and the Avon Intermediate School. He was a member of Congregation Beth-El Zedeck, Indianapolis. He was the son of Max and Cecil Friedman, brother to Renee, all preceding him in death. He is survived by his wife, Sharon and children, Cynthia Friedman, Rochelle Friedman and Gary Friedman, and their spouses, Don, Tom and Terese; and mother-in-law, Helen Brown.

He was a loving grandfather of seven grandchildren, Cybil, Jessica, CeCe, Jacob, Thomas, Morgan and Michael. Robert W. Hagenmaier 81, Indianapolis, passed away April 15, 2004. He was a clerk for Conrail Railroad for 30 years. Robert served in the European Theater as a member of the 69th Signal Battalion, XX Corps Third Army during WWII. He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Pennsylvania Railroad Retirement Club, Veterans of the Battle of the Bulge, and the VFW Post 2999.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Edythe E. Hagenmaier; sister, Mildred Schroeder. Survivors include children, William, Richard, Alan Hagenmaier, Brenda Fraser; brother, Carl Hagenmaier; 6 grandchildren. April 18. James R. Lawrence 71, Indianapolis, died Thursday, April 15, 2004. Mr. Lawrence was career military serving in the Navy and Army during the Korean and Vietnam wars.

He then worked as a U.S. Postal Inspector and worked for Blue Line Security. Memorial contributions may be made to The Little Red Door or the American Cancer Society. He was the son of Earl Phillip Moore and Lola Ozement Moore, and is survived by his wife, Roberta Joyce (Wood) Moore. Mr. Moore was a Captain in the U.S. Air Force. He received a B.S.

degree in Education from Indiana University and a Masters degree from Indiana State University. He taught history at the high school and junior high levels for over 30 years. Most of his career was Indianapolis Public Schools and he was on the original faculty of Northwest High School. Also surviving are eight children: Rose Lane (John), Rebecca Casey (Steve), Rita Martin (Scott), Rolanda Haycox (Jim), Romona Cluff (Tony), Rosalind Schmutte (Rusty), Randall Moore (Jackie) and Rochella O'Neill (Dennis); 10 grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m.

Monday, April 19, 2004 in St. Monica Catholic Church, with visitation at Conkle Funeral Home, Speedway Chapel from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and from a.m. to hour of service at the church. Burial at Washington Park North.

18. Lt. Michael W. Pratt 48, Carmel, passed away on April 14, 2004. He was born on December 9, 1955.

Michael served on the Carmel Police Department for 24 years. Some highlights during those years included his service on the SWAT Team and Bike Patrol. He also was a Canine Officer and an EMT. He was preceded in death by his father, Roger Pratt. Survivors include his wife, Kimberly Christy Pratt; sons, Bryan Michael, Austin Michael and Evan Russell Pratt; mother and step father, Shirley and Milford Williams; brothers, Mark, Timothy and wife Nancy, Kevin and Scott Pratt; sister inlaw and brother-in-law, Jana Christy and Jim Smith; brotherin-law, Michael Christy; seven nieces and nephews.

Virginia "Jerri" Beal Richards 80, Westfield, died Wednesday, April 14, 2004. She was born on March 10, 1927 in New York City, NY to Gerald F. and Dorothy (McHugh) Beal, both whom preceded her in death. She was a volunteer for Bible Education Work for a total of 45 years, the last 35 years in Hamilton County. Jerri was a member of Noblesville Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall and served with the Red Cross on the Island of Okinawa during WWII.

She was a graduate of Bryn Marr College of Pennsylvania. A Memorial service held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 24 in Noblesville Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall. Jerri was preceded in death by her husband, Junius A. Richards, Jr.

in 1988. Survivors: daughter, Karen R. Lowe; son, Junius A. Richards, III; and grandson, Gordon M. Richards.
