Parlon, 92, Carmel, formerly of Lafayette, a retired businessman, will be at 1:30 p.m. June 20 in St. Mary Catholic Church, Lafayette, of which he was a member. Calling will be from 5 to 8 p.m.

June 19 in Hahn Funeral Home, Lafayette. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Lafayette. He died June 16. Mr.

Parlon owned J.O. Perkins Lumber Lafayette, for 19 years, until 1967. A longtime Democrat, he served 16 years on the Lafayette Park Board, 12 years on the Lafayette Zoning and Planning Board, and four years on the Tippecanoe Tax Board. In 1971, Mr. Parlon became Lafayette Mayor James Riehle's campaign manager.

He served as campaign manager for Riehle for six terms. In 1972, he was appointed city controller for the Riehle administration. Jean W. Ashcraft 74, Indianapolis, died June 17. She was born on Nov.

9, 1928 in Elwood, Iowa. She was a homemaker, volunteer and leader in the United Methodist Women's Church and school activities, church choir, girl scouts and other community organizations during her lifetime. Ira W. Barker 75, Avon, died June 16, 2003. He was born Oct. 6, 1927, to Ira Guy Barker and Shirley Black. He was a Liaison at Indiana Lion's Radiation Oncology Department at I.U.

Medical Center for 13 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy (Korea), discharged in 1946. He was a member of Broad Ripple Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, Murat Shrine, American Legion Greensburg VFW, 1 Lions Club, and the Kentucky Colonel. June 19. Courtney Jen'ee Bradley Courtney departed this life on June 1 15, 2003. She was 28 years old. She was a member of Light of the World Christian Church. Following her 1994 graduation from North Central High School, Courtney was educated at I.U.P.U.I.

and Ivy Tech. She had been employed at Martin Center and was a volunteer at the Martin Luther King Multi-Service Center. Courtney is survived by her parents, Samuel M. Bradley, G. Elaine Bradley Johnson and Dr.

Frank Johnson; sisters, Augustavia Haydel, Berenecea Johnson Eanes and Katie Williams; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Esma Short Fairrow; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 19 at Covenant Community Church, 5640 Cooper Road. Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m.

Ellis 82, Carthage, died June 16, 2003. Arrangements by: Todd Funeral Home, Knightstown. Bruce Farley Bruce Farley 60, Indianapolis, died June 16, 2003. Mr. Farley was born on March 14, 1943 in Youngstown, IN to the late John O.

and Louise (Labhart) Farley. He graduated with Bachelors and Masters degrees from Indiana State University and went onto begin a lengthy teaching career. Mr. Farley had taught physics at Shelbyville, Hanover Central, Lowell, and North Putnam High Schools. Most recently, he has been a physics teacher at North Central High School for over 15 years.

He became well known for various projects in his physics classes that put a fun twist on the learning for his students. Some of those annual projects included the physics day at Kings Island, various Rube Goldberg projects, and the famous egg drop. Just this year, he was named Physics Teacher of the Year by the Indiana American Physical Society. He was a member of H.A.S.T.I. and the Indiana State Teachers' Association.

In addition, Mr. Farley spent many years coaching track, baseball, cross country, and basketball at the high school level. His most recent coaching endeavor had been for the North Central boys' golf team, as head coach. Survivors include: his wife, Brenda (Hudson) Farley; daughters, Stacey Farley-Matlock and her husband, Derek, Jamie Farley and her fiance, Ken Willis; brothers, Neil Farley, of Griffith, IN, Jim Farley of Dallas, TX, and Gary Farley of St. Louis, MO; grandchildren, Dallas Matlock and Taylor Willis.

Friends may greet the family on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. in Leppert Hensley Mortuary, Nora Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Union Chapel United Methodist Church, of which he was a member. Mary Helen Kelly Godwin 67, Denver, CO, passed away June 17, 2003. Formerly of Indianapolis, she was born her on June 5, 1936. She was a graduate of St. Agnes Academy and St. Mary-of-the-Woods College.

She completed her graduate studies at Indinaa University in Theatre Arts; she was involved in the creation of Footlight Musicals and directed them. She taught Theatre Arts at Ladywood Academy (where she directed and produced first-ever presentation in the new theatre at Ladywood), St. Mary-of-the-Woods College and Indiana University simultaneously. She was preceded in death by her husband G. Alfred Godwin; her parents, Robert F.

and Kathleen (Toon) Kelly; and her brothers, Robert C. and Terrance Kelly. Survivors include her brother, Rev. Patrick J. Kelly; three step her two widowed sisters-in-law, Barbara and Edna Kelly; three nieces and a nephew; and faithful caregiver Julia Kraft of Denver.

Lisby 71, Indianapolis, died June 2003. She was a Homemaker. She was the widow of Richard W. Lisby. Mary Catholic Church, Lafayette. He was an officer of the St. Mary Cemetery Board and was a charter member of Central Catholic High School and Sierra Club of Lafayette. Mr. Parlon was a 50-year member of Lafayette Country Club, Elks Club and the John Purdue Club.

He also was a 50-year member of the booster clubs for Jefferson High School and Central Catholic High School. He attended the University of Dayton and Purdue University. Memorial contributions may be made to the Precious Blood Monastery or Lafayette Catholic Schools, both in care of the funeral home. Mr. Parlon was the widower of Besse Perkins Parlon.

Survivors include his daughters Pamela Oplawski and Nancy Minneman; sister Catherine Warner; and four grandchildren. Paul Edward Byrkett 83, Indianapolis, died 1 June 16, 2003. Born in Indianapolis, Paul graduated from Tech High School and was a life long Indiana resident. He was a member of St. John National Lutheran Bank Retirees, Church, Indiana na Real Estate Broker and BMW Motorcycle Club.

He worked General Outdoor Advertising for 27 years and 20 years for Indiana National Bank where he was a Vice President and Board Member. A First Lieutenant in Cannon Company, 103rd Infantry Division, Paul was a World War II Army veteran and recipient of two purple hearts. Survivors include: his wife, Helen M. Kerkhoff Byrkett; children, Kitty (Neal) Rubendall and Stephen (Cynthia) Byrkett; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Services: 10:30 a.m.

June 19 in St. John Lutheran Church. Entombment will follow in Washington Park East Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. June 18 at Stirling Gerber Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Lutheran Church Building Fund. R. Ray Callaway 68, North Salem, died June 16, 2003. He on April 31, 1935 in Crawfordsville, IN.

Mr. Callaway was a 1953 graduate of North Salem High School, received his B.S. in 1958 from Purdue University and his M.D. in 1966 from Ball State University. He was a biology teacher and Jr.

High principal in Michigan City. Mr. Callaway was also a farmer in North Salem. Services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 19 in Porter Funeral Home, North Salem, with calling from 4 to 8 p.m.

Coral "Aroma" (Hinshaw) Cobb 77, Carmel, passed away June 16, 2003. She was born in Carmel, IN on January 9, 1926 to the late Jett Freda (Brown) Hinshaw.

Aroma and her busband were married on June 18, 1950 in Carmel Friends Church, of which she was a member. Survivors include husband, Robert "Bob" Cobb; daughter, Ramona J. Glick; sons, Mont Daniel Cobb, and Matthew D. Cobb; two granddaughters; sister, Ermina Kaiser and brother, Charles Franklin Hinshaw. Mary E. Borgerding Coyle 94, McCordsville, died June 16, 2003. She was born February 13, 1909 in Albany, IN. She graduated from Butler University, with a B.S. in Education; and received a Master's in Education from I.U.

She worked for Indianapolis (IPS) and Louisville Public Schools. A Memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. June 19 at Lawrence Methodist Church, 5200 N. Shadeland of which she was a 40 year member. She was a beloved mother grandmother.

Survivors: son William C. Coyle, Indpls; daughter-in-law Susan Coyle, Indpls; grandchildren, Michael Coyle, Indpls; nephews Peter, Don, Jim Angermeier, Louisville, KY. Arrangements handled by: Alpha Funeral Service. Charles A. Darr 90, Martinsville, died June 16, 2003.

No Services. Arrangements by: Neal Summers Mortuary, Martinsville. Mary L. Mandabach of Toluca Lake, CA, formerly of Indianapolis and Beech Grove, died June 11, 2003. Mary was a graduate of St.

Catherine's Grade School, St. Mary's Academy and Indiana Business College. She was a member of the Screen Actors Guild and worked in the entertainment industry for many years. Her career started at Channel 13 and and she would later work for Channel 59. She was currently Editor for Paramount Studios, Hollywood, CA.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mable (Eckstein) Mandabach; and her sister, Dorothy (Dave) Hight. Survivors: sisters, Judy (Dr. Robert) Morris and Patricia (Gene) Northcutt; and her brothers, Ted (Sue) Mandabach and John (Patty) Mandabach. Mary loved her family and enjoyed her status as Aunt and Great Aunt to her many nieces and nephews. Services: 9:30 a.m.

She was born on Dec. 12, 1911 in Irvington. She was a Homemaker. She was a member of the Nineveh Chapter of OES. She attended Manual Training H.S.

Stephen A. McDill 68, of Brooklyn, IN, died June 16, 2003. Arrangements: Carlisle Son Funeral Chapel. James E. Millholland 82, passed away June 14, 2003.

He was born in Cook County, Illinois, son of author Raymond Millholland and Sara Millholland. He attended Broad Ripple High School, Wabash College and graduated from Harvard University. During WWII he served in the U. S. Navy on a subchaser.

He was with the purchasing department of Western Electric, retiring in 1981 after 33 years. Jim loved the outdoors and nature, especially birding. His kind, gentle spirit, inquisitive mind and his sense of humor will be missed by his family and many friends. He is survived by his wife Doris (Bruyninck) Millholland; daughter Madelyn Millholland of Anchorage, Alaska; brother Arthur Millholland of Kenosha, Wisconsin and sister Mary Millholland Leonard of Lawrence, Kansas. A memorial service by his brother Mac will be held from 5:30 to 6 p.m.

followed by a celebration of Jim's life in the library at the Indianapolis Arts Center from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 20th. James David Mosier 61, died June 16, 2003 in Indianapolis.

He was born on July 18, 1941 to Charles and Anna L. Mosier. He was a graduate of Howe High School in 1959, Evansville University and Central Missouri State College. He served as a captain in the U.S. Air Force, and was stationed in Whiteman Airforce Base in Missouri.

He was a corrugated salesman for 35 years at Dura Container of Indianapolis, and retired in 2002 from Container Kraft of Connersville, Indiana. Other organizations of which he participated: Eagle Scouts, Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity, member of the Mystic Circle Masonic Lodge 685, and the Scottish Rite. He was also a member of the Oaklandon Christian Church and an avid golfer. Visitation will be Friday, June 20 from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m.

at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington with services Saturday, June 21 at 12 p.m. with additional calling from 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Survivors include his wife, Linda S. Mosier of Indianapolis; son, Steven D. Mosier of McCordsville; daughter, Mrs. Crystal Ann Rowlett of Oaklandon; sister, Nancy A. Sharp of InJulia three grandchildren.
