Hunters Urged To Be Certain Of Condition Iowa's 1967 goose hunting season opened Saturday morning, Sept. 30, and continues through Dec. 8. Shooting hours are from one-half hour before sunrise to sunset each day. The dally bag and possession limit is five. The limit cannot include more than two Canadas, or two white-fronted geese or one Canada and one white-front. The duck season in Iowa opens Oct. 21 and closes Nov. 29. Shooting hours are one-half hour before sunrise to sunset each day / the same as for geese. The daily bag limit is four ducks and may Include no more than two mallards, one wood duck and one canvasback. Five mergansers, including no more than one hooded merganser may be taken daily in addition to the bag of other ducks. Possession limit is double the daily bag in all cases except on canvasbacks. The deer bow and arrow season also opened Sept. 30 and continues through Nov. 30. Shooting hours Tuesday, Oct. 3, 1967 Algona, (la.) Graveside Rites Graveside services were held Monday morning at Harrison Township Cemetery for Michael Garrison, stillborn Saturday at Holy Family Hospital at Estherville. Clarence & Adrain Arbogast, Fenton This week's Good Neighbor is in duplicate, a father-son combination. Pictured here are Clarence Arbogast and his son, Adrian. The father-son team is farming 480 acres owned by Ed Priebe of Fenton. They have been on the farm since 1961; the farm is located in Independence Twp. in Palo Alto county, just over the Kossuth county line west of Fenton. Clarence was born near Emmetsburg, and moved with his folks to Minnesota as a boy, but returned to Iowa at the age of 16, and has been here ever since. Adrian was born and raised near Fenton, attended Fenton and Sentral school, and was a member of the first graduating class at Sentral. Mrs. Arbogast is the former Helen Huskamp, and Mr. and Mrs. Arbogast also have a daughter, Mrs. Gerald Schmitt, whose husband farms the Henry Scheppman place one mile north of Irvington. At the Arbogast farm they have about 225 acres in corn, 150 in beans, the balance in government acres and ditch. They are raising about 260 head of hogs at present, and have some chickens. They are members of the Fenton Methodist church, and Mr. Arbogast serves on a Palo Alto ASC committee. Adrian's chief hobby is drag racing, and both father and son like to fish.
