Platt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Platt, Algona, were married at 2 p.m. Sept. 2 in the Christ the King Lutheran Church at Iowa City. Rev. William Biederman officiated at the double ring ceremony. Organist was Mrs. Kay Jensen and soloist, Mrs. William Biederman. The bride was escorted by her father. Maid of honor was Judy Allen and bridesmaid was Mrs. Charles Dearchs. Best man was George Platt, Dave Dumon served as an attendant and usher and Eric Heintz was an usher. A reception follwed the ceremony in the church parlors. Mrs. Lynn Hill and Mrs. Gene Stuart poured punch and coffee, Sue Conner cut the cake and Mrs. George Platt opened the gifts. The bride is a graduate of Methodist Kahler Hospital, Rochester, Minn., and is now head nurse of obstetrics at University Hospital, Iowa City. The groom graduated from Algona High School and is now a senior in the college of law at the University of Iowa. Following a honeymoon trip to Glacier National Park, the newlyweds are now at home at Iowa City. ORPHAN BUNNY "Snowball," a pet cat of the Marvin Grouette family, Mason City, took on a little bunny which was orphaned last month and has been caring for it along with her own little kittens. Although the bunny had been injured, Snowball is looking out for its total welfare and it is thriving with her care. Procrastination is our best labor-saving device.
