HARMS, who makes her home at Mrs. John Grotte's, was visited Sunday by her son of Buffalo Center, MRS. C.N. ROBINSON has been visited by Mr. and Mrs. Ray Smith, former Algonans now living at St. Petersburg, Fla. They also visited friends at Wesley. MR. AND MRS. John Dutton were visited over the weekend by their son, Jerry and family, Omaha. MR. AND MRS. Ed Mino recently took their daughter Rose to Ames where she enrolled as a freshman at the University. MRS. CHESTER BAILEY was recently visited a few days by her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. C. N. Aalfs, Sioux City. MRS. ROBERT Bomgaars returned last Tuesday from Mason City where she had surgery at Park Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Gerald Bomgaars, mother of Robert, has been assisting in the care of the little grandson Jay and granddaughter Jayne during their mother's absence. MRS. FLORENCE HAYDEN and granddaughter, Patricia Hayden, Cherokee, spent a week's vacation trip, during which they visited Springfield, 111., where they visited the Lincoln monument and other points of interest. At Hannibal, Mo. they toured the home of Mark Twain. They also visited friends at Charlotte, la. Recent guests of Mrs. Hayden were Mrs. Anna Pipar^&nd son, Leonard Grove, Ft. Dojjge, and guest last Sunday was Mrs. Lois Lee, Ventura. Joyce Hayden entertained at dinner last Friday a group of public health nurses, including Mrs. Judy Ellington and daughter Vicki, Kanawha; Mrs. Marilyn Crawl and Mrs. Emaline Johnson, Garner; Mrs. Marge Costigan, Buffalo Center; and Mrs. Madonna McCormack, Renwick. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Menz and Anna were Wednesday picnic supper guests at the Willard Menz home in honor of Willard Menz, who was observing a birthday anniversary. MR. AND MRS. Lewis Duffy took their daughter to St. Paul Sunday. Zita will be a junior in the College of St. Catherine this year. Goecke, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Goecke of Algona. Miss Hoft is a 1965 graduate of St. Edmond High School. She has attended Fort Dodge Community College for two years, Mr. Goecke graduated from Garrigan High School in Algona and is now a student at Mankato State College, The wedding is planned for Oct. 14 at Corpus Christ! Church, Ft, Dodge. MRS. JOHN GROTTE has been visited several weeks by her grandson, Tom Wichman, Macon, Ga. He will enroll at Georgia Southwestern College. He has had flying lessons while here and is now a pilot. Mrs. Mathilda Waldschmidt accompanied Mrs. Grotte and Tom to Spencer recently where they visited relatives. Mrs. Grotte and Tom were at the Ben Grottes. Mrs. Waldschmidt visited a son and family, JAMES STANTON, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Stanton, left Friday to begin his junior year at University of Iowa law school. This summer he was a law clerk for Linnan, Lynch & Straub. MR. AND MRS. Ralph Koppen, Jean, Danny and David of Whittemore, spent the weekend at Cedar Rapids, with their daughter Marilynn. Paul of Valparaiso, Ind., and Robert of Morrison, HI., came to Cedar Rapids to help their parents celebrate their ' wedding anniversary.
