Council Minutes The City Council met in regular session Wednesday, Aug. 30, with Mayor Finn and the following council members present: Muckey, Andreasen, Cook, Miller and Peirce. Absent: Elbert. Minutes of last meeting were approved. Approved a beer permit for Leona's Tap at 110 N. Dodge. The Council agreed to increase the room and board benefits of the group insurance policy held by the city for city employees, from fifteen dollars per day to twenty dollars. There being no objections to the proposed sanitary and storm sewer projects the Council opened the bids and Gjellefald Construction, Inc. of Forest City, Iowa, submitted the low bid of $46,607.40, which was accepted. The Mayor was authorized to sign a contract to purchase the property at 123 E. Nebraska for the appraisal price of $14,500.00.
