Johnson In Ceremony iRead At Post Chapel Friday Night Mrs. Donald Maurice Johnson (Kelsey Photo) Christian Church To Hold Supper Wednesday Night The First Christian church will hold a Fellowship covered-dish at 8 o'clock Wednesday Bight at the church for members of, the congregation and their friends. The Blue Bonnet class will be in chargs of the program with Mrs.

B. Housewright as chairman of the committee and the Church Council will be in charge of the tapper with Mrs. C. M. Shaw as committee chairman.

All members are urged to attend the supper. OFFICER'S CLUB TO MEET TUESDAY FOR REGULAR LUNCHEON The Officer's Wives club will meet at 1:30 o'clock Tuesday a the new officer's club at the pos for its regular luncheon. Host esses will be Mrs. Joe Luby, Mrs Ralph Alworth, Mrs. Samuel Hawi and Mrs.

Martin Wisoff. The ceremony was read at :30 o'clock and cathedral in silver candelabra urned on either side of the Itar. The bride, given in marriage by er brother, James Francis Reidy, rare a two piece ensemble of ray crepe. The Jacket was fash- oned with a sweetheart neckline, wide peplum and mutton leeves. Her hat was of eathers and her corsage was of rchids.

Music As pre-nuptial solos, Mrs. Eddie McElhannon sang "Ava daria" and "Oh Promise Me," ac- ompanied at the organ by Helen Duley, who played the traditional wedding marches, and "I Love You Truly" during the ceremony. Lighting tapers during the ervice were Lieut Richard Cope- and and Lieut. Briesmiester, ushers. The bride was attended by her sister, Mary Reidy, who was attired in a brown suit with eggshell blouse.

Her accessories were irown and her corsage of talisman roses. D. R. Johnson was the best man. Out-of-town guests for the wedding were Mrs.

Dwight Stephens mother of the bridegroom of Hurley, N. Mrs. Loyd Balch of Albuquerque, N. aunt of the bridegropm and James Francis Reidy, brother of the bride. The bride was graduated from the Big Spring high school in L937, and has been employed at Cosden Refinery for the past four years.

She is a member of the local chapter of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority. The bridegroom attended the University of Albuquerque and was stationed at the Big Spring Bombardier School as a bombar dier instructor until recently. The couple will be at home in San Angelo where Lieut Johnson is now stationed. Barbara Freeman of El Paso who has been here this week vis iting her parents, Mr. and Mrs.

degree. He was employed on the staff of the Troy Daily News, Lima News, Dayton Herald and more recently thi Dayton Journal. Son Angelo Couple Wed In Church Parlor Here Mrs. Joyce Hennon and Alvi Groves, both of San Angelo married here Friday afternoon a 4 o'clock in the parlor of the East 4th St Baptist church with the' pastor, the Rev. R. E. reading the single ring ceremony.

and Mrs. Edward Clark of Port Washington, will be married at high noon today in Fort Worth with Rabbi Philip Graubard reading the double ring ceremony in the lome of the bride's aunt, Mrs. Ben Zimmerman, 2517 Hemphill. The bride, to be given in marriage by her father, will wear a victory blue dress with navy accessories, and she will cary a white Bible topped with white orchids. The couple will stand a canopy of pink and white carnations and Sam Morris oi Fort Worth will sing "Because' and "I Love You Truly." "Liaber- straum" will be played during the ceremony.

Following the wedding a luncheon and reception will be held. The taMc is to be covered with a Normandy, lace cloth, centered with cut flowers and the wedding cake, flanked by old fashioned candelabras. Following the reception, the couple will leave for Milyaukee, Wis. for a short honeymoon. The bride will wear a three piece tweed suit with brown accessories.

Cadet Nurse Corps Training To Open At Austin Hospital Girls with a desire to serve their country and at the same time learn a profession that will help them after the war will be interested to know that the Brackenridge Hospital School of Nursing, Austin, is cooperating with the government in training nurses. A class for U. S. Cadet Nurses Corps is to begin on November 1st and the Director of Nurses, Brackenridge Hospital, Austin 22, can be contacted for full information. The qualifications necessary are that the girl be a graduate of an accredited high school in the quarter of the class; she must be between and 32 years of age and in good mental and physical health.

The cadet nurse program offers an education paid for by the government including tuition, books, uniforms, and pays a month for the first nine months; $20 per month for the next 20 months; and $30 a month for the last six months training. The Brackenridgc hospital has ideal living quarters and is affiliated with the University'of Texas in basic sciences, and offers not less than 30 hours college credit on graduation from nursing school; and accredited training for eligibility for Red Cross Nurse Corps. Cosden Employes Hold First Dance Of Fall Season At Settles Cosden employes and their guests were entertained Saturday evening with the first of a series of fall 'parties to be held at Settles hotel. Nickelodeon furnished the music and refreshments were served. The personnel department was in charge of arrangements and a large number attended.

HOME NURSING COURSE HAS FEW VACANCIES FOR THOSE APPLYING Those interacted in taking a home nursing course are advised that vacancies still exist in the class being taught by Miss Jewel Barton, registered nurse.
