Algona (la.) Upper Dm Molnw-S Tuetdey, Auguit M, 1967 SOCIETY NEWS REUNION HELD A Mawdsley family reunion was recently held at Mr, and Mrs. Earl Crouch's at Fenton. Present were Ed Mawdsley, Mrs. Jean Abbot, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Mawdsley, Mr. and Mrs. R. L Mawdsley, Algona, Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Mawdsley, Jr. of Hurt, Dr. and Mrs. Richard Thompson, Burt, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Crouch, Armstrong, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Crouch, Casa Grande, Ariz., Mr. and Mrs. Ed Wilson, Storm Lake, parents of Mrs. Robert Crouch, Mrs, Wilson of Esthervllle, mother of Ed Wilson, and Bonnie Crouch and the respective families. - o- LADIES BRIDGE Mrs. Ed Wolcott was hostess at the ladies' bridge party at Algona Country Club Aug. 16. Winners were Mrs. V.L. Gunder, Mrs. Julius Kunz and Mrs. Fred Kent, ST. - o- WILLASSON-REED Miss Sally Willasson became the bride of William Reed in a 2 p.m. ceremony Saturday, August 5, at the First Baptist church in Waterloo. Rev. W.D. Gough officiated. Mr. and Mrs. Donald E. Willas- son, 707 Home Park Blvd. are parents of the bride, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William L. Reed of Newton. The Don Willassons are ex-Algernons. Maid of honor was Sue Willas- son, sister of the bride fromDes Moines, and Mrs. Peter H. Werner of Huntingdon Beach, Calif, was bridesmaid. Charles Edward Putzke of New Buffalo, Mich, attended the groom as best man. Michael Koon of Ames was groomsman. Ushers were Bruce Rarick of Ames, and Karl Hoff, cousin of the groom from Newton. Kent Foster, cousin of the bride, was candle lighter. Mrs. Reed begins her teaching at Douglas School in Des Moines. Her husband is a student at Iowa State University, Ames, and is employed by the university. They will live in Ames. Mrs. Esther Willasson, a grandmother, attended the rehearsal dinner party given by the Reed's Friday evening at the Clayton House in Waterloo and also the wedding. Mr. and Mrs. Victor Parsons and Linda also attended the wedding from Algona. - o- KATHRYN MAHONEY has had as a guest for two weeks, Dora Ferrigan from Chicago. Eva Diem and Mary Bieser gave a dinner and card party for her. Minnie and Ada Schick gave a dinner and took Mrs. Ferrigan to see friends she hadn't seen for a number of years. Mrs, Ferrigan left for her home Sunday, accompanied by her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Al Faulkner, their son, Father Francis Faulkner and a granddaughter, Jean Gunille. MR. AND MRS. Sylvester Keller, Lake Charles, La., are visiting with Mrs. Margaret Lynch. Mr. Keller is a nephew of Mrs, Lynch and hadn't seen his aunt for 49 years. INVINCIBLE METAL FUR.
