Mr. and Mrs. Frank will have open house at home two times on Sunday. the afternoon from 3 p.m.

Smith of 333 Chauncey St. are inviting friends to an open house Sunday afternoon from 2 to 4:30, their 1964 graduates, Peter Cecilia. Peter is graduating from Sycamore High School, and Cecilia from the eighth grade at St. Mary's. Mr.

and Mrs. William L. Lindgren of 133 Mason Court having open house for their Scott, also a 1964 graduate the Sycamore High School, Sunday afternoon from 2 5 p.m. Lu Ann and Chad Swedberg will be honored at a Sunday ernoon open house when their mother, Mrs. Birdena Swedberg, will entertain for her twins their home on Turner Place.

Both are in the 1964 graduating class of Sycamore High School. The time is 3 to 4:30 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. David Strombom are having open house for their son, Randy, also a 1964 high school graduate, Sunday afternoon from 2 to 5 p.m.

HIGH SCHOOL JUNIOR CHOSEN American Field Service Sends Jeanne Tessier to Italy SYCAMORE Jeanne Tessier, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Tessier, received word yesterday that she will be locat-. ed in Campobasso, Italy, as an American Field Service exchange student for the summer months. Campobasso is located a little north and inland from Naples.

It is a city of 40,000 described as pretty, clean and surrounded by mountains. The address is 136 Via Marconi. Jeanne will be staying with the Nicola Iacampo family. There are four daughters, Maria, 17; Eleanora, 15; Giuseppine, 12, and Giovanna, 9. They are Catholic family, and lish fairly well.

The 17-year-old is interested in cookdaughter, drawing, and as drawing is one of Jeanne's great hobbies, the girls should become great friends. The father is an accountant and the mother works for the National Institute for Medical Assistance. There is also a grandfather and a maid in the home. Jeanne will leave from New York on June 27 aboard the ship "The Seven Seas," for Rotterdam. There she will be met by an American Field Service representative and proceed to Italy.

She will return Aug. 31 from Rotterdam and arrive in New York Sept. 10. Today the American Field Service brings 2800 students from 59 countries to attend American secondary schools for a year of study and experience. During the summer sends American teenagers from nearly every state to live abroad with families in 37 countries.

The students range in age from 16 to 18, a period when they are most adaptable, open minded and eager to learn. Baptist Young Ladies Present Japanese Tea SYCAMORE The Colonist girls, a group of the Pioneers at First Baptist Church, will have a Japanese tea party Friday evening to climax their year's ac- tivities. It will be held in the new Baptist Youth Center at 7:30 pm. The girls are all in junior high This will be an open meeting. and everyone is cordially invited to the program and party.

The girls have collected Japanese articles over the past months, and will have on them display tomorrow night. A young Japanese girl at Wheaton College will appear in her native kimona attire, and give the program, Badges will be awarded to the girls by their guide, 1 Mrs. Walter Thurow. Mrs. Charles Watkins and committee are in charge of the refreshments which will be a glamorous Japanese dessert and tea.

Decorations have been planned by Mrs. Edith Malone, and will feature Japanese lanterns. The whole evening sounds enticing, and those who can attend should have very nice time. Condition of Local Resident is Improved SYCAMORE The condition! of Francis Welch this morning showed some, improvement. Mr.

OBITUARIES HARRY W. HART SYCAMORE Harry W. Hart, South Main died Wednesday, June 3, 1964, at DeKalb Public Hospital. Mr. Hart was born in Boonesville, Ohio, Sept.

23, 1883. He was a graduate of the University of West Virginia, and a member of Sigma Chi fraternity. He had been an engineer with the Cleveland Illuminating Company for many years. Surviving are his widow, Alice. and a sister, Sada of Hugo, Okla.

and also a number of nieces and nephews. Private funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Van Natta Funeral Home, with Rev. Lorrin Kreider of the Presbyterian church at DeKalb, in charge. Burial will be in the family lot at Monroeville, Ohio.

Friends may call at the Van Natta Funeral Home from 7 to 9 this evening. at the Coach Rooms in Sycamore to 5 o'clock. Their children, Mrs. Higgins of Sycamore, Mrs. and John Higgins of DeMary Kathryn Higgins of Oak Park Mrs.

Higgins is the former Mag(Edwards Photo) HOLUB PICNIC FOR TONIGHT Is Planned for Park Unless Weather Turns Bad SYCAMORE- The annual picnic for employees of Holub Industries, and its associate company Ace-Sycamore, will be held Thursday evening at the Sycamore Community Park. According to co chairmen, Mae Johnson and Robert Dennis, the first event is to be a chicken dinner. It will be servled beginning at 5:30 p.m. Ice cream and soft drinks will be available for the at all times. The game committee, Audrey Dollinger and Pat Davy, have planned a number of games and prizes so that all age groups can, participate.

A softball game between the boys and girls is in(cluded. Before adjourning, everyone will gather around a fire for a group song fest. John, Polinowski and Marty Koch are in charge of the setup and clean committee. In case of bad weather, the picnic will be held in the recreation room and the new factory addition, which is now nearing completion. The Essay report which was given by Sally O'Neill stated that the winner, 1 Michael Frazier, was presented a savings bond and a medal by President Blanche Tull. New members were accepted. Quimet. District meeting was summarized by President Blanche Tull. Since Sally O'Neill was not able to attend installation which was given Sunday, her officer obligation was given to her by Jean Lindstrom at this meeting. Betty Byro told new officers about their duties for the coming year. The recipient of the meeting presentation was Doris Swedberg Meeting closed and will reopen on Tuesday evening, July at 8 p.m.

Next month's meeting will be conducted by the newly elected President Chris Swanson and her appointed officers and chairman. Lunch was served and a social hour was enjoyed.
