Jimmie Whitwo'ih Sheriff, Waller County, Texas. 10-19-3tc continued from page 1 Falcons during the remainder of the game.

Royal's retaliation began when Broussard gathered in the kickoff on his own 15 and returned it to his own 40 behind beautiful blocking. After making one first down, Randle dropped back and hit Jones on a 40 yard pass and run. Two plays later, Burr scored from the 3. Garwood blocked the kick to- stay in the lead. A Garwood fumble on the first play following the kickoff enabled Burr to again sweep over the right end for another score.

A fake kick and pass from Griffin to Broussard gave the Falcons 2 more points, with the first quarter score ending at 14-7. The Falcons rolled on during the second quarter, making two more TDs. A 35 yard pass from Randle to Wilson set up one Royal score. The Royal team made another 6 point via a thrilling 20 yard pass from Griffin to Jones. Extra points were failed in both attempts.

The final two minutes of the half were action packed. Royal fumbled deep in Gar territory, giving the Gars a chance to make advances through the air. Three passes all being incomplete, and with less than one minute to play, Garwood, under great pressure from Royal's defense, punted deep into Falcon territory. Rnndlo ran the ball back to the Garwood 20. Time was called, and, with one second on the clock, Burr attempted a 20 yard field goal, which was unsuccessful.

The halftimo score was Royal 26-Garwood 7. In the i quarter Burr streaked 80 yards to score; again the extra points were no good. The Gars had another taste of glory in the fourth quarter as they scored on a 10 yard pass which was deflected, and almost, but not quite, intercepted by the Falcons; the kick was wide. The next time Garwood was in possession of the ball, they made several successful passes and appeared to be making pro- crress. One of the nasses backfired, howere, when Repka intercepted it and, bulled his way 30 yards for the final TD of the evening.

Broussard plunged over right tackle for the two point conversion. Coach Stuart had this to say, "This is the best team effort we've had. Our front men on defense were outstanding throughout the game. Reports indicate they are big and strong at Sheridan but this is our first district game, and we arc 'ready to meet their clial- lenge."
