Mercer WATERMAN Raymond C. Mercer, 89, of Waterman, died Monday, March 26, 1984, at his home. Funeral arrangements are pending at Nash Memorial Chapel in Waterman. Maria Smith INDIO, Calif. Marie Smith, 66, of Indio, died March 19, 1984 in Indio.

She was born in Illinois on Jan. 3, 1917, the daughter of Thomas and Stella (Barnes) Postlewaite. Surviving are two daughters, Suzane of Palm Desert, Calif, and Patricia Sohne of Washington; five grandchildren, one greatgrandchild; a brother. Dale Postlewaite of Illinois. Funeral Services were at the FitzHenry Funeral Home, Indio, March 23.

Raymond Henry Shuck SANDWICH Raymond Henry Shuck, 25, died March 26, 1984, at the DeKalb County Nursing Home. He was born Sept. 18, 1958, in Sandwich, the son of Raymond Harry Shuck and Sofia (Pierannunzi) Shuck. He lived in the Sandwich area his entire life. He was a member of St.

Paul's Catholic Church in Sandwich. Survivors include his parents; one maternal grandparent, Lucia Pierannunzi, Pascoag, R.I.; three sisters, Marie Shuck, Aurora, Karen Shuck, Elgin, and Mrs. Steven (Angela) Tumey, Sandwich. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St.

Paul's Catholic Church, Sandwich, with the Rev. Joseph Kaiser officiating. Burial will be at St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Somonauk. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m.

Williams, 81, of 201 Evans DeKalb, died Sunday, March 25, 1984 at his home. He was born on Dec. 25, 1902 in Ramsey, 111., the son of Fred and Delta (Turner) Williams. He married Nellie Funder-burk on June 20, 1925 in Hillsboro, 111. He was a retired Del Monte employee and had worked there for 38 years.

He was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church in Sycamore. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Don (Doris) Castenson of Maple Park and Mrs. Lorna Knuuttila of DeKalb; two sons, Jess Williams of DeKalb and Dallas Williams of Cortland; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Joe and Loren Williams, both of DeKalb; one sister, Mrs. Evelyn Degg of Witt, and several nieces and nephews.
