Criminal damage Garrick A. Balk, 1400 W. Lincoln reported to police that sometime between 2:30 a.m. Saturday and 2 a.m. Sunday someone broke the passenger side mirror and dented the right side of his car parked in the city parking lot one.

Damages were estimated at $300. DUI Steve Szczepkowski, 21, 3816 59th Cicero, was arrested early Sunday morning at Rolfe Road and Park Avenue and with DUI. Births A daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Wilson of Somonauk. Police DeKalb Accident Kimberly S. Hitchins, 20, of 107 Willow, Normal, was treated and released from Kishwaukee Community Hospital Saturday night after she was struck by a vehicle driven by Deetta M.

Rader, 17, 517 N. Barnsdale, LaGrange Park. Hitchins was walking south through the parking lot at 1026 W. Hillcrest Drive and reportedly saw Rader's car backing out of a parking space, but allegedly couldn't get out of the way. Rader told police she checked her rear view mirror for both cars and pedestrians and saw none so she began backing and turning and then allegedly struck Hitchins.

Rader was cited for improper backing. DUI Rafael A. Garcia, 115 Oak DeKalb, was arrested early Sunday morning and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop at the 300 block of Pine Street. Monday, March 26, 1984 5 Daily Deaths Grace Copeland SOMONAUK Grace Copeland, 96, Somonauk, died March 24, 1984, at Roosevelt Square, Sandwich. She was born April 25, 1887, in Hanover, Ind." She was a member of the Somonauk Baptist Temple. Surviving are a son, Dean of East Moline; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William and a brother, Tom Bennett.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Tuesday at the Turner Funeral Home, Somonauk. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Sandwich. Visitation is 9 to 11 a.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home. Herschel B. Williams Herschel B.

Williams, 81, of 201 Evans DeKalb, died Sunday, March 25, 1984 at his home. He was born on Dec. 25, 1902 in Ramsey, the son of Fred and Delta (Turner) Williams. He married Nellie Funderburk on June 20, 1925 in Hillsboro, Ill. He was a retired Del Monte employee and had worked there for 38 years.

He was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church in Sycamore. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Don (Doris) Castenson of Maple Park and Mrs. Lorna Knuuttila of DeKalb; two sons Jess Williams of DeKalb and Dallas Williams of Cortland; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Joe and Loren Williams, both of DeKalb; one sister, Mrs. Evelyn Degg of Witt, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, one grandson and two brothers. Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Salem Lutheran Church i in DeKalb, with the Rev. Gary Ryden and Rev. Terry Bishop officiating.

Burial will be in Fairview Memory Gardens in DeKalb. Private family visitation will be held Tuesday evening at Anderson Funeral Home in DeKalb.
