Bancroft Girl At Sunnyside Easter Camp JACKIE KADOW Jackie Kadow of Bancroft is now attending Camp Sunnyside, Iowa's Easter Seal Camp for the physically handicapped. The camping program consists of swimming, fishing, boating, hiking, archery, cook-outs, wheelchair square dancing, overnight camping, and many other events. Sunday dinner guests at the Ralph Walker home were Mr. and Mrs. Tony Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. ArneSorenson and family and Mr. Cameron Anderson. Afternoon guests were Mr. and Mrs. George Neve and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Neve. Evening callers were the Lowell Farlands. At the Roy Anderson home the past week have been their daughter and family, the Keith Riede- sels, Rockford, El., and Sunday, their son and family, the James Andersons and family from Whitesboro, Texas came for a week. Mrs. Leo Keith, David and Tim, Los Angeles, Cal., have been spending the month of July visiting at the home of her sister, Mrs. Lawrence Hanson, Other visitors at the Hansons for two weeks have been her cousin, Mrs. Sam Crosland and three daughters, New Orleans, La. Mr. and Mrs. Marlin Paul attended the National Duroc Congress at Omaha. Mrs. Albert Paul stayed with the Paul children. Mrs. Kenneth Skartvedt, Larry and Judy of Radcliffe were recent dinner guests at the Marlin Paul home. Judy visited at the Paul home for a week. Guests for two weeks at the Darrel Newlin home were her mother, Mrs, Lily Coy and her sister, Mrs. C. Mclnnerney and Mark of Billings, Montana.. The Everett Rippentrops attended a family reunion at Algona with about 100 persons. Others attending locally were the OrvUle Rippentrops, Gene Rip- pentrops, Lyle Rippentrop and Kathy Tonn, West Bend Girl Receives Special Honors At Iowa A West Bend girl, Sharon Rolfson, daughter of Mrs. Elvin Rolf- son, will receive special honors at the University of Iowa's summer Commencement exercises Wednesday, August 9. Sharon will be one of only six to be graduated with "highest distinction". She will receive a bachelors degree in psychology. Freshmen ranking in the top 10 percent of their class are Tu*sdoy, Aug. 8, 1967 Algona (la.) Upper Des Maine*—9 admitted to the program and, in order to graduate with honors, the student must maintain at least a "B" average the remaining three years. FLOWER A plant in the yard of Mrs. Delia Westra of Hull after growing very little last year has this summer grown on the average of two inches a day and is now 7 ft. 7 in. tall.
