Single Square Dance Club A square dance will be held from 8 to 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 8, at the Sycamore Community Center, 425 W. State Street, by the newly formed DeKalb-area Singles Square Dance Club. All singles (couples welcome, too) who are interested in the national folk dance, square dancing, are Invited to attend the next dance.

Donation will be 82 to cover expenses. A knowledge of square dancing is not necessary; beginners are welcome. Caller Guy Thorn will give instructions on the basic square dance steps. Art League The first meeting of the 1984-85 season of the Kishwaukee Valley Art League will take place at the United Methodist Church of Sycamore on Thursday, Sept. 6 at 7:30 p.m.

Members and guests are encouraged to attend. Guests will not be charged a fee at the first meeting. Yearly dues are $12 for Sept. 9 at 5:30 p.m. at the Ben Gordon Health Center at the corner of Sycamore Road (Illinois 23) and Bethany Road.

The program for September will consist of mem-bers who spent their vacations in Norway telling of their experiences and showing the things they brought back from Norway. Ladies are asked to bring treats for the social hour. Bring a prospective member with to the meeting. Young Single Parents Young Single Parents of America was formed in Elmwood Park in May, 1971. By 1981 it has grown to 11 chapters in two states with over 3,000 members.

But Young Single Parents is more than statistics. Young Single Parents is children and parents who because of death, divorce, or other reasons find themselves in need of new and concerned friends. Young Single Parents for this reason has been structured to fulfill the special needs of. the single-parent family. Each month Young Single Parents offer both educational and social programs for adults and children.
