Gordon Kuhn were taken to Boxholm Thursday by their daughter Mrs. Dallas Klein and son Rlckle and were met there by Bob Kuhn who took his parents from there to Ankeny for a visit till Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Klein and son met them Sunday at Webster City and brought them home. MRS. KATHRYN Mahoney has been visited by her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Weir, Pat, Kathy, Jean and Patricia, Minneapolis. They were here over the weekend. MR. AND MRS. Andrew Hanson have as a young guest this week their grandson, Bret, whose parents, Mr. and Mrs. C.R. Tippln, Storm Lake, were at Minneapolis and Milwaukee seeing ball games. MR. AND MRS. Russell Werts and family are leaving Wednesday for a week and will attend the Christian Assembly of Jehovah's witnesses at Madison, Wise. MRS. RUSSELL WERTS was hospitalized at St. Ann a couple of days last week having a needle removed which broke off when she accidentally stepped on it, a part going bone deep. MR. AND MRS. Bert Muckey have returned from a vacation at Minneapolis with their daughter, Mrs. Etheline Allis, and at Redwood Falls, Minn, with her sister, Mrs. Winnie Dailey. MR. AND MRS. Ira Kohl have returned from a vacation at Green Bay, Wise, with their son David who is a chemical engineer for Proctor and Gamble. MR. AND MRS. Howard Platt had as guests a couple of days last week their son George and wife and little daughter Susan, Aurora, Hi. MARVIN, son of Mr. and Mrs. Duane Johnson, Elmore, has concluded a visit with his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Riedel. MR. AND MRS. Glenn Shore are being visited by their daughters, Mary, Mrs. Jerry Moon, Patty, Linda and Michael, Yuma, Ariz., who will be here till the end of the month; and Carol, Mrs. John De Belauwe and Sheila. Roan St., Algona, Iowa, completed an electrical accounting machine repairman course at the Army Signal School, Ft Monmouth, N.J., June 16. During the 32-week course, he was trained to inspect, test and repair electrical accounting machine equipment Spec. Duranfs wife, Joyce, lives at 2124 First Ave. N., Fort Dodge, Iowa. QUI NHON, VIETNAM-Army Private First Class Roger D. Akkerman, 20, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence H. Akkerman, Tl- tonka, Iowa, recently helped clear a large area to be used for storage near Qul Nhon, Vietnam. Akkerman, an engineer in Company B of the 39th Engineer Battalion, and other members of his unit poured' concrete slabs for several warehouses and built roads for the 700,000-foot storage area.
