Ki'iil i 'y- 1 iSi Eft A T--1TH Mary and Ray Marxer Ray and Mary Marxer (formerly Mary Gaston) of Avon-dale celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 30. The Marxers were married Aug. 30, 195, 1, in Phoenix. They have two children: Mike and David of Glendale.

They also have two grandchildren. Ray Marxer was an operations manager for O'Malley Co. He retired in 1989. Mary Marxer was in quality control for GTE. She retired in 1999.

Elaine and Orgill Potts Orgill and Elaine Potts (formerly Doris Elaine Thompson) of Tempe celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 16 with a dinner. The Pottses were married June 13, 1951, in Durant, Okla. They moved to Arizona in 1974. They have one child: Janet Murphy of Southlake, Texas. They also have two grandchildren.

Orgill Potts was a master sergeant in the U.S. Air Force and a mail handler for the U.S. Postal Service. He retired in 1992. Elaine Potts was an administrative assistant for the Tempe Police Department.

She retired in 1997. Ruby and Ralph Scholer Ralph and Ruby Scholer (formerly Ruby Barker) of Phoenix celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary July 14 with a reception. The Scholers were married July 12, 1941, in Mattoon, 111. They moved to Arizona in 1951. They have two children: Stephen of Phoenix and Janet White of Surprise.

They also have three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Ralph Scholer was a cutter for E.L. Gruber Co. He retired in 1976. Ruby Scholer was a seamstress for E.L.

Gruber Co. She retired in 1979. The couple met at a church meeting in Charleston, 111. Dolores and Donald Heyer Donald and Dolores Heyer (formerly Dolores Benkowski) of Scottsdale celebrated their 50th anniversary July 28 with a dinner and reception. The Heyers were married July 28, 1951, in South Milwaukee, Wis.

They moved to Arizona in 1974. They have five children: Jo- seph of Flagstaff; Thomas and Gary of Scottsdale; Linda Schutts of Mesa; and John of Durango, Colo. They also have 111 grandchildren. 'Z'; Donald Heyer was a millwright for Local 1914. He re- tired in 1991.

Dolores Heyer is a homemaker. j. The couple met at a picnic in Grant Park in South Milwau--. kee in 1950. Marlene and Jack Miller Jack and Marlene Miller (formerly Marlene Carlson) of Peoria celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 16 with a dinner.

The Millers were married June 16, 1951, in Two Harbors, Minn. They moved to Arizona in 1961. They have seven children: Steve and Paul of Santa Rosa, Cindy Farling and Tim of Peoria; Jeff of Glendale; Marcia Rose of Fremont, and Diane Armstrong of Phoenix. They also have 15 grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren. Jack Miller was an accountant for Shasta Pools.

He retired in 2001. Marlene Miller is a homemaker. The couple met in a drugstore in Two Harbors in summer 1947. Marion and Noah Murphy Noah and Marion Murphy (formerly Marion Kjesbo) of Sun City West celebrated their 5Cth wedding anniversary June 23 with a dinner party. The Murphys were married June 16, 1951, in Waukegan, 111.

They moved to Arizona in 1998. They have four children: Melina Murphy-Riedel of Phoenix; Diana Murphy-Ve-tere of San Kathleen Fox of Aurora, and Patrick of Glenwood Springs, Colo. They also have six grandchildren. Noah Murphy was commissioner of building and zoning for the city of Waukegan. He retired in 1997.

Marion Murphy was a quotations and sales representative for Interstate Electric Supply Co. She retired in 1997. The couple met during their senior year at Waukegan Township High School.
