(51*) Four Mishaps Kicked Off Weekend Here Four mishaps were investigated in tliis area Thursday and Friday, with one man sustaining a minor injury in one. He was Walter W. Hatt, 22, Algoua, who was cut on the right arm. Piatt was hurt when the car lie was driving collided with a truck driven by Donald N. Bonnann, 43, LuYerne, at the intersection of Lucas and Wooster streets here Thursday noon. Damage to the vehicles was estimated at $-100 and Bonuaim was charged with failing to yield the right-of- way. A car driven by Hobert E. Black, 40, Algona, sustained an estimated $400 damage when it ran into a load of bided hay on FARM EQUIP. FENTON, IA. (51) East McGregor street Friday evening. Mr. Black was blinded by the lights of an approaching auto and did not see the stopped load of hay. Chester Harmon, 61, Algona, was charged with failing to have warning lights on the hay trailer, The sheriff's office was called to investigate two mishaps in the Fenton area Friday. The first occurred at the intersection of highway 44 and a county gravel road about one mile south of Fenton. An auto driven by Donald Henry Lappe, 20, Bancroft, was headed north, making a left turn west when it was struck from behind by an auto driven by George Joseph Burns, 40, West Brook, Minn. Burns slid into the left rear of Lappe' s auto, causing about $50 damage to the fender and bumper. Burn's 1967 Chevrolet sustained $300 damage to its left rear fender and bumper. A truck owned by Hodgeman and Sons, Fairmont, driven by Al Scherer, 53, Algona, backed into an auto owned by William Vichattle, 77, Cowrie. The accident happened on highway 44 about two miles south of Fenton. There was about $90 damage to the Vichattle 1963 Ford.
