4-Atgena, (to.) U pp « r DM Momet Tuwday, June J7, 1967 Miss Bradley Of Algona Is Engaged To Wed MARY ANN BRADLEY Mr. and Mrs. Walter J. Bradley of Algona announce the approaching marriage of their daughter, Mary Ann, to Thomas E. Cronln, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Cronin, Oak Park, HI. Mary Ann is a graduate of the College of St. Catherine, St. Paul, and is employed as an occupational therapist in the St. Paul school system. Her fiance graduated from the College of St. Thomas and is presently attending William Mitchell College of Law, St. Paul. He is employed by Broeker, Hendrickson and Co. A July 29 wedding is being planned. Ledyard Couple Has Four Sons In Service Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Payne, Sr., Ledyard, now have four sons serving their country in the armed forces. Their fourth son, James, left May 28, five days after lie graduated from Ledyard Community High School. He is now stationed at Amarillo Air Force Base, Amarillo, Texas. Their son, Sp. 4 Jerry Payne left Saturday from Fairmont Airport enroute to Fort Dix, New Jersey. From there he was to go to Germany where he will be stationed about twenty miles from his brother, Pvt. Sidney Payne, Jr. Both have about twenty months to serve overseas. The elder brother, A/1C Carl, is stationed in Thailand with the Air Force. He has about three months left to serve overseas. Fenton Lady's Mother Passes At Estherville Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Friday at Highland Park Funeral Home in Des Moines for Mrs. Evangeline Zimmerman, 91, mother of Mrs. W.W. Jolley of Fenton. Mrs. Zimmerman died Tuesday at Holy Family Hospital at Estherville. Burial was at Glendale Cemetery at Des Moines. Mrs. Zimmerman lived in Des -Moines for the past 50 years and came to Fenton during the last year to live with her daughter. "Kossuth County's Favorite Newspaper" PERSONALS MILO RENTZ and Kermit Forbes spent a week fishing in northern Minnesota. MRS. CLARA Walker drove to Trimont, Minn. Wednesday and spent the day with her brother, Peter C. Reding, who is home after surgery at Rochester. BRIDGE PARTY Women of the Algona Country Club held their weekly luncheon and bridge party June 21 with Mrs. Robert Hillburg, hostess. Winners were Mrs. Ed Wolcott, Mrs. Frank Zender and Mrs. Elmer Dole. Municipal Utilities A meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Algona Municipal Utilities was held in the City Hall, City of Algona, Iowa, June 1C, 19G7, at 7:30 o'clock p. m. Present were: Buchanan, Harmes, T.James Palmer, Supt., and Ira Kohl, Secretary. Absent was: Bay. The minutes of the meeting of June 2, 1967, were read and approved as read. Motion by Buchanan, seconded by Harmes, that the vouchers payable be approved and authorized paid as audited. Roll call, voting "Aye", Buchanan and Harmes. Voting "Nay 1 ' none. Motion carried.
