De Kalb, EVENING FEBRUARY 2 1906 A Newcomer Fuller A VERY PRETTY WEDDING LAST NIGHT IN CHICAGO, In Which DeKalb People are Interested. Last evening, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Merrill, 826 Walnut street, Chicago, occurred the wedding of Miss Ella Conn Fuller.

to Robert Bruce Newcomer, in the presence of about thirty relativee and intimate friends. The house was beautifully decorated with flowers and vines, and to the bay window amid palms and white blossome, the young couple marched to the strains of Mendelshon's wedding march, played by Miss Hazel Kennedy of this city, a cousin of the bride, and here they plighted their faith, Rev. Flack, pastor of the Garfield M. E. 'church, performing the ring marriage ceremony, The bride was very dainty in her wedding gown of cream net, trimmed with valencennee lace and gold aplique, carrying a shower bouquet cf lilies of the valley.

The bridesmaid, Miss Ella Wright, was dressed in lemon colored organdy over yellow silk with aplique trimmings. Al. Smith of this city was best man for the groom, both of whom were in evening suits. Ferna Merrill and Meta Haugwaard were in pink and blue liberty satin, and made a pretty picture as they preceded the bride and groom, making an aisle of white ribbons. Master Jack Pendergras, dressed in white, was ring bearer, and little Dorothy Mook strewed flowers in the path of the bridal procession.

After the wedding ceremony and congratulations the company repaired to tue dining room, which was done in and green, smilax ropes bung from the chandelier to the four corners of the table, and a profusion of pink carnations. A menu was served of: Chicken patties Bread and butter Salted almonds Pickles Olives Fruit salad Ice cream Cakes Coffee There were beautiful and costly gifts, showing the esteem in which these young people are held. The bride is a daughter of Mr. Frank Fuller of this city, having made her home with her aunt since her mother's death. She is a sensible little woman, capable and a good housekeeper, which qualities will make a most companionable woman for the man of her choice.

The groom, Robert Newcomer, has been employed as foreman of the newspaper department with the J. F. Glidden Pub. Co. for over five years, and every man, woman and child who know him have words of praise for the happy disposition of the young man.

Always bubbling over with fun, kindly words for all, free of bad habits, this young man has no enemies. Mr. and Mrs. Newcomer have the congratulations of all who know them. Homes. The Moses of DeKalb is the man who will devise a means of securing two hundred more houses for DeKalb. It is the imperative necessity of the hone and it must be done as a business proposition for the immediate future of this city. If the capital could be obtained and reliable investment firm induced to look after the details, there is no better investment than the construction of these homes. Some of them must be for rent.

It is folly to talk of a man ufacturing city where every man OWnS his own home and where there are no places for rent. Of course DeKalb has a lot of wage earners who are paying for their homes. Most of them are patrons of the Buildin and Loan Associations and all of them are people who live in DeKulb and have a positive way of earning a living and paying for a home. Strangers will not come to DeKalb and build a homest once before they know whether their job is permanent and whether they will like the town or not. t.

In these busy times it is not only the job, but a home at a reasonable rental that attracts workmen. De Kalb has the job, but it has no homes to offer anybody, A bunch of homes will not only be a good thing for the city, but it will be a fine investment as well.
