Dollar Course Old patrons of the Dollar Lecture Course will remember Frank Reynolds, the singing humorist who came here with his tromp of Boston Stars several years ago. Well, many of you have laughed through all the intervening years when you have thought of Frank Reynolds. He has never been west since that time. While this season he and his company will appear on the next number of the Dollar Course, Feb. 5th.

Ir there is any holder of a season ticket that can't get big dollars worth of hearty laugh out of that entertainment they are to be pitied. It is not only a splendid entertainment but one that will rank among the best ever given in the Dollar Course, The Boston Stars are known as the return date company. Everbody that likes fun will enjoy the Boston Stars Feb. 5th. I.

Mrs. Clinton Rosette received tel egram last night from Men monie, Wis, announcing the death of Rev. William Sturgeon, which followed close the death of his wife, aunt of Mira.

Rosette, which occurel two weeks ago today Tomorrow both bodies will ba interred in the Louisville Cemetery, the body of Mrs. Sturgeon, having been, placed in a vault after her death. Mrs. Walters, mother of Mrs. N.D.

Gilbert who has been- dangerously ill for the past week is no better. A trained purse is in attendance, and Miss. Walters of Oak Park arrived last night. Mrs. Gilbert ha- also been ill for a week, unable to assist in the care of her mother or to be up.

Miss Julia Gilbert is also home from Rockford. The Library Whist Club met at the home of Mrs John Keith yesterday afternoon. The score was most varied, but Mrs. Dollmyer and Miss Olsen won the high score of plus 8. 5 Light refreshments was served, and an unusual social time enjoyed.

Mrs. F. P. Smith received a letter from her mother who is wintering in Mexico, in which she said; I began writing my letter on the porch, but the sun was 80 hot I was obliged to move inside of the house to finish it." A great contrast to our winter day in DeKalb. Mrs.

Wm, Cheney and daughter Miss Zola Cheney, returned Saturday night from Elgin where Mrs. Cheney has been in the Sherman Hospital and submitted to an operation. She is convalescing and her many friends will be glad to hear that she will soon be well. Miss Zaida Brown and Mrs. B.

C. Knodle spent yesterday Wheaton attending the Farmer's Institue, taking part in the program. Dr. Cook, president of the Normal a most interesting number on the program. DeKalb was touched with a blizzard last night of no small proportions, and the snow and cold wind today marks the first real winter of the season.

The Annual Men's Supper will be held at Congregational Chapel, Tuesday, Jan. 98, 1906. The Morris Class will be banqueted in the Baptist Chruch parlors tonight. The supreme directors of the Court of Honor have requested: Frank Dooling, of Springfield, district recorder, to resign, in view of the alleged failure to pay over to the supreme recorder assessments for December, 1905, amounting to $3,748, as ascertained by the auditing committee. The alleged shortage is guaranteed by a surety company. They Want It Declared Bankrupt. Springfield, Jan. Creditors in Chleago and St.

Louis of the Decatur Chair company have filed petition in the United States district court asking that the campany be declared bankrupt. Liabilities of the company are said to be assets, $50,000. Two Men Indicted for Murder. Springfield, 111, Jan. ments James and William Hinaura ate der have been turned.

They are accused of killing Charles Casson. John Lawrence and Samuel Douglas in a saloon tight last November. CHICAGO'S LATEST CRIME Four Men Invade a House Try to Abduct a Young Woman and Shoot Her Host. Chicago, Jan. Coyle, 28 years old, was shot and probably fatally injured in his home bere at night by one of four men 1 who entered the house and attacked Frances DePew, 23 years old, of Milwaukee, a visitor at the Coyle 1 home.

Coyle, his son Frank, and Miss DePew, according to the police, were seated in the dining room of the house when the four men entered. One of the men is said to have attempted to drag the young woman from the room, when Coyle interfered. A fight ensued and Coyle was shot in the abdomen. Miss DePew refused to talk of the shooting further than to deny ever having seen any of the assailants before. Chicago, has a record of fifty-four murders In the tv weeks just past, and.

a large percentage of the murders had women for victims. Will Run "Good Roads" Train. Bloomington, Jan. The Chicago and Alton railway announces that it will run a "good roads" train over the entire Alton system in Illinois beginning February 12 and, continuing two weeks. The purpose is to show farmers at the various stations how to Improve roads with the use of a simple device which representatives of the road will explain how to make.

Found the Heir in a Bastile. Elgin, Jan. Welsh, of Urbana, who has been lost to his family for six years and is heir to half of a $20,000 estate, was in a cell at the police station here for four nights last week.
