Honor Many LHS Students With Awards LU VERNE—Award Night was held recently at Lu Verne High School. Recognition went to the following students: Student Council-Paul Trauger, Gretcnen Zentner, Coleen Johns, Kot?ert Fett, Don Dristow, Becki Watts, Marty Bowman, and Linda Wilhelm. Top 5 Seniors—Grade point average of tetter than B plus— Rita Patterson, Daryl Trauger, Paul Trauger, Tom Steil, and Delores Eggleston. Perfect Attendance 196G-67: 12th Grade—Richard Hersbergen and Luana Leek. 10th Grade—Dennis Blumer, Connie Hefty, Barbara Hurlburt, and Ronnie Wolf. '9th Grade—Danny Block, John Legler, Teresa Pedersen, Lee Schipull, and Kathy Trauger. T. Hovland, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Tokheim and Tom, Joan and Bea Lodden. At the William Phelps home Monday evening after commencement for their daughter, Patricia, guests included Rev. Crandall, Grace Crandall, Ed Sanders, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Davidson, Mr. and Mrs. Darrel Newlin, Randy and Jeff, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Van Norman, John and Chuck, Mr. and Mrs, Jesse Whitman, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Patterson, Bob and Susan, Agnes Olson, Mrs. Lysle Hansen, Mr. and Mrs. Earl attending summer sessions at Lincoln, Neb. Miss Gabel taught English at Wayne State College, Neb. this past year. Mrs. Ruth Carlson and Mrs. Nellie Anderson were Sunday dinner guests at the home of Mrs. Fred C. Newlin and Pauline. Mr. and Mrs. Johnie Tobin attended commencement at Ceylon, Minn, and we re coffee guests at the Russell Strayer home in honor of their daughter, Kandis. Caryl Larsen, daughter of the Harvey C. Larsens, was honored at a brunch at the Ralph Weber home at Bancroft Thursday morning. She received a bachelor of music degree from St. Olaf College, Northfield, Minn. Sunday afternoon. Miss Larsen graduated Cum Laude. She was one of a class of 432. The immediate family attended the exercises. Carmen Larsen came from Manitowoc, Wise, for her sister's college graduation, and visited her parents, the Harvey C. Lar- sens over the weekend. Eugene Person was honored by friends and relatives Sunday evening after baccalaureate at the home of his parents, the O.R. Persons. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Logemann, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Stewart, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Thorsheim, Mr. and Mrs. Charles L.
