Our Algona Upper Des Moines bride is attractive Linda Lorkwood, 19, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Allwin Lockwood, Lone Rock, and she has lived all of her life in this. area. She was a member of the 1965 Sentral High School graduating class. "Add one young man, in good working order." Our bridegroom is good-looking Oscar Froehlich, 23, son of Mrs. Evelyn Froehlich and the late Francis Froehlich, Algona. He has lived here all his life, is a 1961 graduate of Garrigan High School and is engaged in farming. "Add five cups of romantic love." Oscar and Linda began dating about six months ago — and when the all-important question, "will you marry me," was asked, Linda answered "yes" March 22 this year. "Blend well in a wedding ceremony with the blessing of God in the presence oif well-wishing friends." Linda and Oscar will say "I do" in a ceremony at St. Benedict's Catholic church June 24, 1967. "Select carefully, a container of the appropriate size and decoration in which to establish the new home." Like most brides and bridegrooms, Oscar and Linda's budget will be limited, but they like nice things, therefore they stop carefully now (and will later, also) in Algona stores sponsoring this special section of the Upper Des Moines. "Sprinkle with laughter, garnish with kisses, leaven with hard work, and let rise with religion. This recipe makes a large amount — enough to last for at least fifty years with enough left-over love for your grandchildren." A happy marriage - this is what we are wishing, not only for Linda and Oscar, but also for the countless other couples who plan to be married during 1967 ! Now, Let's Tour Algona With Linda And Oscar...
