Ex-Resident Of Fenton Dies, Spokane, Wash. FENTON-Mrs. Maurice (Lydia) Wallace, 58, passed away at her home near Spokane, Wash. Mrs. Wallace came to Spokane with her husband following W W n from Fenton where she was born and raised. She had been ill with cancer for about eight months. Survivors include her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Gloria Groom, Salem, Ore., Mrs. Wanda Seals, Port Orchard, Wash., Mrs. Janice Mayland, Shell, Wyo. two sons, Maurice Wallace and Terry Wallace both of Spokane; three sisters, Mrs. Esther Hintz, Mrs. Fred Boettcher, Mrs. Fred Meyer and 16 grandchildren. The sixth grade students of Lone Rock and Fenton Schools wrote essays on conservation and the Town and Country Women's Club judged them, The winners read their essays to the club. They were David Kruse 1st John Blanchard 2nd, Denise Votteler, honorary mention from the Lone Rock School. Darlene Uthof 1st, Kay Dreyer 2nd and Scott Tipple honorary mention from the Fenton school. They were awarded a prize from the club. Mr. Wm. Basler, from the State Conservation Commlslon spoke on Conserving Conservation. Mrs. Lawrence Newbrough and Mrs. Dorsey 6th grade teachers at Lone Rock and Fenton and the children's mothers were guests. - o- Town Marshall Don Hurlburt announces garbage will be picked up In the alley from now until further notified and starting May 29 it will be picked up Mondays and Fridays. The Sentral Schools will dismiss early Thursday and Friday. They will dismiss at 2:30 p.m. The Fenton Legion Auxiliary will hold their annual plant sale Saturday May 27. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schulte attended the Baccalaureate exercises of their granddaughter Jacquelyn Otto daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Otto at Dewitt Sunday evening. They returned home Monday.
