JUNE 23, 1955 THE SAN SABA (Texas) Colony News COLONY, June 21 Barbara and Carol Brister celebrated their seventh and fifth birthdays, respectively, Saturday afternoon with a party at their home. Refreshments of birthday cake and ice cream were served to the following guests: Pamela and Trudy Lively, Jane O'Banon, George and Wesley Booker, Pat O'Banon of Corpus Christi, Debby May of Dallas, Sheila, Tommie and "Mike McDowell, Kay and Bob Millican and Mmes. Little Miss Debbie, May and Mrs. Ida Holmes of Dallas have been here the past three weeks visiting with relatives. Lloyd Blauvelt of Rochelle, Misse's Letha and Alpha Blauvelt of Lampasas were Sunday visitors of the D. C- BlauveUs. Mr.

and Mrs. Jackie Brister were visiting the George Bristers Monday. They are moving to San Angelo this Reporter. Several relatives and friends from Chappel attended the Millican-Strouhal wedding at Rend Saturday. Tom Howell has been suffering from a hack injury and his doctor has ordered him to bed for a period of ten days. Mr. and Mrs. Emit Peavy spent the weekend in Rookdale visiting their daughter, Mrs.

Bill Harris and her family. The Baxter visited with relatives in Abilene Saturday night. Tom Alien from Tow spent Sunday with the A. M. Allen family.

He attended services at High Valley Sunday with the Aliens and M'rs. Taylor. The Desel Taylor 'amily spent Sunday afternoon the Allen home. Rev. B.

J. McKee was unable to deliver the Sunday evening message at High Valley because an attack of influenza. Chappel Home Demonstration liiii met on the Jim Freeze lawn and used the yard furnace to an outdoor casserole meal tnd to bake biscuit rolls and to oast marshmallows. Mrs. Tom So well gave this demonstration, as well as demonstrations on making handled cups from tin cans, and a Buddy burner from two othr er containers, which is a two-hour stove in case of an emergency.

The Ben Day family of San Saba and Miss Janice Stafford were luncheon guests in the Matsler- Elliot home Sunday. On Saturday the Fred Elliots entertained Fred's brother, Cortes Elliot, from' Brownwood, and the Cecil with a fish fry. Phil B. McCoury is the possessor of a blue two-tone Chevrolet car. Mrs.

L. J. Nelson and family from Houston visited with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Presslcy recently.

Mrs. Hamilton Brown from San Saba spent Sunday with the Bennie Lively family.
