Phoenix Coyotes and Mountainside Fitness to break the world record for the longest time that four women have run simultaneously on a treadmill. The women are Amy Craft of Anthem, Jill Monson of Phoenix, Robyn Flores of Phoenix and Sarah Mitcham of New River. They will run 24 hours straight at Arena to raise awareness and funds for the Purple Ribbon Council, a Peoria-based non-profit that helps children who have lost parents to domestic violence. The women will begin running at 8 tonight on Level Two of the arena in the Bud Light Zone. The end of the run should come Thursday during the first half of the Phoenix Coyotes-Atlanta Thrashers game.

The Coyotes will present the women with a $5,000 grant to go toward starting Camp Butterfly, a camp for children who have lost one or both parents from domestic violence. New business-licenses fee The Glendale City Council approved a new $20 business-license application fee that will go into effect March 1. The fee will cover a variety of business licenses that did not previously come with an application fee. That includes commercial rental of real property, residential rental of personal property, restaurants, bars, contracting, retail, hotels and motels, and business occupational and professional business, which includes such businesses as doctors, banks and attorneys. The city could generate an estimated $60,000 annually in new revenue, which will go to the general fund.

Glendale officials said such fees in other cities range from $12 to $30. The application fee affects only new business-license applications from March forward.
