Upper Dei Moinet Tuesday, May 16, 1967 LuVerne Girl Weds Sandra Kay Patterson, daughter of Mrs. Milo Patterson, and the late Milo Patterson of LuVerne, and Victor Paid Thomas Jr., son of Mrs. Charlotte Thomas of Des Moines, were married at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lavermore at 11 a. m., Saturday, April 22. Father Skahill officiated at the double ring nuptial mass. The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Jerry Patterson. LaVone Beneke was maid of honor, Mrs. Robert Hirsch, sister of the birde, was bridesmaid. Allan Swaim was best man and Denny Patterson, brother of the bride, was groomsman, Ushers were Danny Ellifritz and Harold Burgess Jr. The bride is a graduate of LuVerne High school, and for the past several years has been employed in Des Moines. Mr. Thomas attended the University of Minnesota and is now employed in Minneapolis. The couple is now at home in Minneapolis. (Saul Studio Photo). Janet Cherland will have charge of devotions and Cathy Bergum vill arrange a program. Audrey Bergum will have charge of entertainment. Mrs. Elmer Witham drove to Moline, HI. Friday morning where she met her sister-in-law, Mrs. lone Witham Greene of Burbank, Calif., who had come in by plane. Enroute home they visited a sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Thiel at Davenport, then the Pete Helmers at Milan, M., and the Norman Watsons at Troy Grove, HI. They came back to the parental Everett Withams on Monday. Mrs. Greene plans to stay until after Mother's Day. Mr. and Mrs. David Looft attended the funeral of the tetter's uncle, William Hoppe, Good Thunder, Minn., Saturday afternoon. The funeral services were held at the Lutheran church at Rapidan, Minn., and burial was in the Fairview cemetery at Fairmont. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Looft of Minneapolis visited briefly at the Henry Looft home Friday afternoon and left their sons, Jeff and Jim, with the grandparents while they went to Des Moines for a weekend visit with friends. Enroute home they visited with Dick's grandmother, Mrs. Bertha Pommer of Algona, and brought her back with them to the Henry Loofts for Sunday dinner. Stanley Muckey, Patty and Jimmy, went to Shakopee, Minn, to spend Mother's Day with Mrs. Muckey's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Blinkman. The 75th birthday of Mr. Blinkman will also be observed. MRS. EVA DEIM and her sister, Mary Beiser, have recently been visited several days by Mrs. Matt Kramer, Bancroft. May 7, Mrs. Deim and Miss Beiser were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Johnson at Irvington. They are expecting their sister, Mrs. L. R. Hornbuckle, Spencer, for a several days' visit this week. Mrs. Ted Jensen appeared on the program, presenting a saw solo, and Mrs. Osborn was her accompanist. Mrs. Osborn's niece, Wilma Osborn Olsen, is a member of the Ottosen Lutheran church women. Mrs. EarlCrouchaccompanied Mrs. John Tobin of Swea City to Sioux City last Friday where they attended a Mother-Daughter banquet at Morningside College. Their daughters, Bonnie and Margie, are both students at the college. . Bonnie Crouch is planning on attending the first summer session at Iqwa State University at Ames this summer. She is majoring in home economics, specializing in dietetics.
